Port nan Gael welcomes the Hideouts. Our newest additions have been hand-built on site by local craftsmen, with care taken to use quality materials and minimal carbon footprint, to offer sustainable accommodation that blends seamlessly with nature. The space Its simplistic, yet innovative design, provides the comfort and style of a cosy hotel room complete with double bed, coffee tray and fridge. Nestled in the hillside in front of the River Leidle, overlooking Loch Scridain, it is an idyllic setting for those seeking a peaceful coastal retreat. This new Glamping site provides an upgrade for campers, looking to spend a night off the beaten track. We are family and pet friendly and ideal for those looking for a night in luxury. Every Hideout has outdoor seating and its own private firepit area with access to shared washroom facilities. *Note there are no en-suite facilities* Guest access Port nan Gael Campsite is just 30-40 minutes south of Craignure the main ferry port. We are situated on the main road so you cannot miss us. We are exactly half way between the hub of Tobermory in the north and Fionnphort in the south. Other things to note You will need to walk to the shared bathroom where we have female and male toilet/shower blocks. We are an upgrade from camping so cooking options are to bring a gas stove or BBQ or use the shared microwave, to bring cutlery and plates/bowls. Each hideout has their own fridge and the onsite shop and pub are open daily. We have a 1 pet guest maximum policy.
