Situated in a quiet shared courtyard, far from the stress of modern life. Montaillou, rich in history, welcomes you year-round. The exceptional natural surroundings also allow for a wealth of activities, hiking, mtn biking, cycling, horse riding, snowshoeing, skiing…….. Not forgetting the cultural highlights of the surrounding area. Enjoy !! The space The property is a traditional village house over 3 levels, with a livable area of 96Sq.mts. ( 1033 Sq.ft ) On arrival guests are invited to offload their belongings at the front of the property and to then utilise the free parking in the village, which is literally 1 minute away. There is a communal courtyard area, with tables and chairs/sun loungers and parasol, for the use of our guests. This is a communal area but in reality is only used by our guests. The property was completely renovated in 2012 and again upgraded in 2024. The property is equipped with a modern 24 hr mechanical ventilation system, including allergy filters on the air intakes. Heating of the property is electric, with easily controllable heaters, in all areas of the property. The ground floor features an entrance hallway and dedicated space for shoes, jackets, etc. There is a bedroom on this level with one or two single beds, all duvets, linen and towels are provided as required. There is storage and a hanging space for clothing and personal items. There is a bathroom, with shower, wash hand basin and wc. Towel dryer and hair dryer is also provided. There is also a laundry/storage room, with space for ski's, boots,etc. There is a washing machine and tumble dryer as well as a sink at your disposal. The timber staircase leads to the first floor. The first floor of the property is an open plan area, comprising communal lounge/living area, with a wood burning stove, TV and multimedia/music as well as a variety of lighting to create the mood of your choice. There is a fully integrated and modern kitchen at your disposal, equipped with a gas hob, electric fan oven, microwave and dishwasher. The equipment provided will allow any group to enjoy their cooking and culinary experience! There is a dining area attached to the kitchen, with a table and seating for 6. The staircase leads to the second floor, here you will find two bedrooms, with wardrobes for clothing and personal items. The bedrooms are fully equipped with a choice of duvets depending on the season or your requirements and all necessary linen and towels. There is a 160cm double bed and a 140cm double bed. There is a separate WC on this floor and a bathroom, with bath and shower facility's, as well as a double wash hand basin. A towel dryer and hair dryer are provided. The property is equipped with modern smoke detectors as well as a carbon monoxide detector. There is a fire extinguisher and fire blanket in the kitchen. A first aid kit is also available. All windows are equipped with child safety locks, ensuring peace of mind with smaller children. The windows also have anti- insect screens, depending on the season. We also offer free and secure bicycle storage for those who like us, can't live without their bicycle. The communal garden is for use by one and all . and allows you and our neighbours to enjoy breakfast, lunch , apero's and dinner outside, weather permitting off course !
