1st Connecticut Lake Cabin

Settle in for 4-season fun when you stay at this comfy 2-bedroom, 1-bath vacation rental in Pittsburg! This charmingly rustic cabin sits on the First Connecticut Lake with a shared dock for easy days filled with fishing. In the winter, hop on a snowmobile to explore the natural beauty of the area. Whether you come to do some hunting or ride an ATV, the cozy interior is the perfect space to come back to with a fully equipped kitchen and authentic cabin decor to make you feel at home! The space Cliffside Cabin is located on the First Connecticut Lake with the deck facing the water. The cabin was originally built in 1930 as housing for the Civilian Conservation Corps, and was one of the Timberland rental cabins. Recent upgrades include renovated bathroom, metal roof, foundation and expanded deck facing the lake. Dock: we have the right side of the dock straight in front of the cabin (with concrete block). Fish, kayak and swim right from there! Launch your boat from there or the public boat launch (depending on water levels and boat size). Sleeping: Bedroom facing the water has one queen sized bed. Second bedroom has a set of bunk beds with full sized mattresses. Bedding is provided. Living room: has a pull out sleeper sofa and the chair reclines for comfortable lounging! Bathroom: bathmat and hand towels are provided. Bring shower towels, and extras for outdoor activities! Bring your own paper goods, there may be some in the cabin available for back up but cannot be guaranteed. Kitchen: microwave, oven and propane stove available for your use. Plates, silverware, pots, pans and utensils are available to you along with a full size fridge and freezer. Coffee maker uses kcups for individual serving or grounds to make a pot. Electric kettle and toaster also available. Cabin is equipped with a roku TV in one bedroom and the living room, along with wifi access. Wood stove: please do not use the wood stove inside the cabin. There are chairs and a full size grill available for your use on the deck. We suggest you bring your own propane for the grill, or purchase from Youngs General Store, as we can't guarantee the propane tank here will be full for you. Camp fires: make smores lakeside after dinner! Please bring your own wood for a camp fire. We'd also recommend bringing some camp chairs to use on the dock during the day and fire side at night.
