Urban Woodland Bungalow

This modern urban bungalow is tucked away in a quiet wooded hillside with views of the city skyline and mountains in the distance. Recently built, it's light-filled, cozy, and colorful, with a modern feel and slight rustic touches. Ideally located in a quiet neighborhood, and just a 2 minute drive, or ten minute walk, from the center of Montpelier and its cultural abundance. Near wonderful hiking, swimming, and many other outdoor activities. A cheerful home base to explore the beauty of Vermont. The space This new (2019) designer-built small guesthouse (700 square feet or so) is bright, quiet, and colorful. You will have the house to yourself, but the hosts will be right across the stream for anything you may need. There are two queen beds, one is a pullout in the living room. Out the back door is a small private patio with trees all around, making for a peaceful breakfast, coffee, or dinner spot. There are woods out the back, so you will feel like nature is all around. But you are also just a short walk from the center of Montpelier, and all the great restaurants, coffee shops, and shopping this well-loved town boasts, so you'll get a perfect balance of city/county life. Kick back and spend your days here relaxing in this calm bungalow, or use as a cheerful home base from which to explore the beauty of Vermont. Less than an hour from Lake Champlain, Stowe, Woodstock, Burlington, and the Mad River Valley. Guest access There is one official parking spot, and another available on the street out front. You will have to walk up a flight of steps to enter, but once inside there are only 5 steps between the 2 floors. Other things to note The dining table is currently set up for two people, but can be easily pulled out and set up for 4. We are happy to suggest our favorite spots to visit locally!
