If you love nature and privacy you will love Creekside Cottage overlooking Choccolocco Creek. It is located 1.4 miles from I-20. The cottage is close to Cheaha State Park, CMP, hiking, biking, kayaking, dining, sports facilities, theaters, museums, etc. Amenities include WiFi, and Smart TV with Hulu TV, Amazon Prime, and Netflix., Foosball table, grill, and fire pit. Fishing is good, but not edible. No parties or extra guests allowed. We don’t charge cleaning fees or have checkout chores. The cottage used to be a canoe and kayak shop on the beautiful Choccolocco Creek. It is a large open area (1200 sf) with curtains for privacy if needed. Kitchen supplies include: a coffee pot, stove, oven, toaster oven, microwave, refrigerator, dishes, utensils, etc. Large porch overlooking the creek with natural gas grill. During season you can pick organic blueberries, and/or watch Purple Martin’s. Cottage is a private single dwelling. My husband, Jim, and I live in the main house on the premises which is situated on an 8 acre farm. We strive to provide an affordable private getaway. Guests have complete privacy, but we are available if needed. Cottage is not in a neighborhood, but is on our private property. The cottage is serene, peaceful and private overlooking beautiful Choccolocco Creek! Parking for cars, boats, bikes, etc. at cottage. Coldwater Springs Trailhead is 3 miles from the cottage. No parties, events, pets, or extra guests allowed. We have 1 large, sweet dog that might be outside at times. We have 2 miniature donkeys and a mule in a pasture. We love animals, but I’m sorry we don’t allow pets anymore due to several bad experiences,etc. You may see ducks, geese, herons, turtles, deer, groundhogs, lizards, frogs and other wildlife. Stargazing is awesome! Sun and moon rise over the Creek and set over pasture. Fishing is good, but not edible due to PCB contamination decades ago.
