The space This home was originally built in the 1940s by Frank Sharpstown, the namesake of the Sharpstown Mall in Houston. At the time of its construction, it was part of the largest land development in United States history. This home was also my childhood best friend’s first residence. I saved it from demolition when he decided to build a new home. The house was jacked up onto an 18-wheeler and transported to Pointblank, but the journey wasn’t without challenges. It had to pass under a bridge that required me to remove the entire roof! As a result, the home has many imperfections, but we believe that’s what gives it so much character.
