Welcome to our gatehouse dating back to the 1800s. Rural style and perfect for those who are looking for peace and quiet, but still want to be close to the city's amenities. The cabin is located in a historical environment just minutes from central Arboga and offers a unique combination of nature, culture and relaxation. Here you live by the beautiful Arbogaån and have access to a large, lush garden - ideal for morning coffee, a dip in the river or a quiet moment with a book under the imperial linden tree. The space The Grindstugan is 50 sqm and you have the whole building all to yourself. The cottage has a bedroom (bed linens included), living room, kitchen, bathroom and a hall. Right next to the cabin you have your own patio (lilac) with your own garden furniture and barbecue. The kitchen is equipped with stove, fridge, freezer, coffee maker, microwave, electric kettle and toaster. Common basics and consumables are provided, such as salt, pepper, spices, dish detergent, dishcloth, etc. In the well-equipped kitchen, there is also champagne,wine,beer, whiskey,snaps and cocktail glasses, picnic basket, and thermos. In the bathroom there are towels, toilet paper and hand soap. We have check-out no later than 2 pm so you can enjoy your stay and clean and pack in peace and quiet on the last day. Free parking, free Wi-Fi. Guest access You have access to large parts of the garden. Down towards Arbogaån there are additional seating areas where you can enjoy the view and the rich bird life. In the river, we have a dock where you can take a cooling dip, fish or just sit and enjoy the amazing nature. At the dock, there are also two SUP boards that you can borrow (free of charge) if you want to paddle and explore the archipelago. Nearby the jetty is our wood-fired sauna that you can access at a cost of SEK 300/2 hours (wood included). You also have access to two bicycles throughout your stay (free). Other things to note In the living room of the gate house, there is also a sofa bed (140 cm). Contact the host couple for pricing if you are more than 2 people. The water heater in the gate cabin is dimensioned for 2 people. Do you have electric car we offer charging at additional cost. If you ride a motorcycle, there is a possibility to park in a garage. Sorting bins for plastic, glass and preserves are available in a space in the large bathroom.
