Nestled on our 40-acre smallholding on the edge of Ravensworth village, it’s just a 10-minute stroll to The Bay Horse pub and restaurant, and a 20-minute walk to Mainsgill, one of the largest farm shops in the North. The hut sits in its own private fenced meadow, overlooking a tranquil pond. Outside, you’ll find a covered seating area for al fresco dining, along with your very own wood-fired hot tub. With painted wood panelling, a glowing log burner, and a cleverly designed kitchenette, it’s the perfect countryside retreat. Guest access The shepherd’s hut sits within its own private fenced area, complete with convenient parking. In the summer months, guests can also enjoy access to the adjoining field—perfect for walking dogs or simply stretching your legs. A public footpath runs through the smallholding too, offering easy access to the surrounding countryside walks. Other things to note We’re a working smallholding, surrounded by arable and livestock farmland. At times you may notice farm machinery in the fields, along with the sounds and scents of animals—but it’s all part of the authentic charm of the countryside. Our Log Burner Hot Tub Unlike an electric jacuzzi, this rustic tub has no noisy pumps or bubbles, just pure peace and natural heat. As the logs burn, the water gently warms to the perfect temperature, filling the air with the comforting scent of wood smoke.
