Manor Cottage

Manor Cottage is a unique and stylish retreat tucked down an unmarked lane between the glorious North coast of Cornwall and the pretty village of St Mawgan. Recently renovated to the highest standard, using local materials and a pared back interior designed finish expect all the home comforts and more. A real escape just moments away from the beaches at Mawgan Porth, Watergate Bay and the National Trust protected Bedruthan Steps. The space Manor Cottage is a separate building sited within the grounds of the Manor, a family owned farmhouse. Guests have full exclusive use of the 2 bedroom and 2 bathroom cottage along with it's own garden and double terrace. The cottage has been recently renovated and fully refurbished with an interior designed finish that offers laidback lux living reflecting the natural materials and beauty of the surroundings. On entering the GROUND FLOOR of Manor Cottage, through your own private front door, you will come into the oak beamed OPEN PLAN LIVING SPACE featuring... A cosy and comfy SITTING ROOM with 3 seater sofa, 2 armchairs and a coffee table alongside a log burner and TV (Youview installed and quick login for your own Netflix account). The sitting room also has access onto a pretty PATIO with table and chairs which leads up some steps to the larger south facing TERRACE with it's outdoor dining area with table and chairs. From here you have level access onto the landscaped architect designed GARDEN with it's thoughtful seasonal planting and grass area. The perfect place to enjoy the peace and quiet of the countryside views. Alongside the sitting room you find the bespoke fitted KITCHEN with high end fixtures and marble and wooden worktops. The kitchen is fully equipped with a SMEG oven and stove top, fridge with freezer compartment, full size dishwasher, microwave, SMEG toaster and SMEG kettle. All the crockery, cutlery, glassware and kitchen equipment you might need are supplied (general cleaning supplies stored here). Within the kitchen there is a DINING AREA with table that seats 4 across chairs and cushioned seats in the deep slate window recess. There is also an under stairs low level STORE ROOM where you will find an iron and ironing board, vacuum cleaner and high chair stored. Head up the stone lined STAIRS to the FIRST FLOOR to find... The light and airy dual aspect BEDROOM 1 with double doors onto the larger TERRACE. With a sumptuous king sized bed, huge freestanding mirror, comfy arm chair, bedside tables and lamps and a large built in closet there's ample space to recharge. This bedroom has it's own spacious EN SUITE BATHROOM with large crittall framed walk in shower. Continue up another half flight of stairs to BEDROOM 2 with it's pitched wood clad roof, welcoming king size bed with full wall length fabric headboard and bedside tables and lamps, vintage rocking chair, fitted closet and 2 large windows that flood the room with light. The SECOND BATHROOM is opposite and features a free standing roll top bath with countryside views and another crittall frame walk in shower. Just outside the bathroom you will find and a separate CUPBOARD with a washer / dryer and the boiler (bathroom cleaning supplies stored here). The whole of the cottage has an integrated temperature controlled heating system. The system is pre set to comfort levels which can be manually adjusted where needed. Your stay includes: Bed linen and bedding Bath sheets, bath towels and hand towels Shower / bath gel, hand wash, shampoo, conditioner Washing up liquid, sponge, tea towels and dishwasher tablets Cleaning supplies and cloths Wood and kindling to get you started Basic kitchen condiments - oil, salt, pepper, sugar, tea & coffee Supplies for refuse and recycling Guest access Guests have exclusive use of the whole of Manor Cottage, it's own designated terraces and garden. There are two parking spaces (max total width 5.6 metres) for guests in the shared drive of the Manor and Cottage. Please note that gardeners may access your garden during your stay for garden maintenance. Please note that access to the grounds of the Manor is not allowed. Other things to note One well behaved pet per stay is welcome for a charge of £10 per night. Pets must not be allowed on the furniture. Pets must be cleaned up after themselves. Pets must not be allowed outside unaccompanied or left unaccompanied in the cottage. Please note that Manor Cottage adjoins farm land with livestock grazing. Dogs must be kept under control and on the premises. There is a local 'dogs on leads' restriction on the surrounding lanes.
