Description

Nestled within the stunning grounds of Irton Manor, this cosy woodland log cabin sleeps up to four and offers an escape for families, friends or couples. Just three miles from Scarborough and close to the North York Moors National Park, The Log Cabin is perfectly placed for beach days, scenic walks, outdoor activities and exploring the surrounding countryside, all from your own tucked-away woodland base. The space As you enter through the grand gates of Irton Manor and follow a private estate track, you’ll discover this secluded, single-storey cabin built from whole pine logs and surrounded by nature. Inside, the open-plan living space features a quaint yet fully equipped kitchen and a comfortable lounge-dining area, decorated in a relaxed country lodge style. A large wood-burning stove makes it especially inviting for cosy evenings in. Along the hallway are two welcoming bedrooms: one with a super king bed that can be converted into twins on request, and one double room. Both offer ample storage and share a bathroom with bath and shower over. Two sets of French doors open onto a spacious decked area with outdoor seating for al fresco dining. Adjacent to the deck is a four-seater hot tub, perfect for unwinding after a day outdoors or enjoying the night sky. A short stroll down a gravel path leads to a small summer house and barbecue area, ideal for relaxed evenings with family or friends. The surrounding grounds are rich in wildlife, with wildflowers, grassed areas, trees and a pond. Guests often spot deer, rabbits, hares and a wide variety of birds, and at dawn and dusk foxes and badgers are frequently seen. For something a little more active, guests have free shared use of our informal 9-hole FootGolf course, located in the adjacent activity field. It’s a fun, amateur setup created for the estate, with all equipment provided. The area also lends itself well to casual games and outdoor play. Please note: We can only accommodate check-ins on Mondays and Fridays. For their safety, children must be supervised at all times when outdoors, as the cabin is close to deep water, wild woodland and private land. Please note that accessibility is limited. Paths around the estate are gravel, bark and grass and uneven in places. Access to the decking involves three steps and there are no grab rails in the bathroom. Guest access As this is a private working estate, groundskeeping and maintenance may occasionally take place during your stay. The estate is spacious, and we always aim to remain discreet and work around guests wherever possible. If you have any preferences or timings you’d like us to be mindful of, just let us know and we’ll do our best to minimise any disruption. Other things to note This is a quiet retreat, and we ask guests to respect quiet hours after 10 PM, particularly outdoors. The estate is for guest accommodation only—events, parties, or additional visitors must be approved in advance. We kindly ask guests to leave the property in a clean and tidy condition. The cleaning fee covers standard preparation for the next guests, rather than deep cleaning after excessive mess. If additional cleaning is required beyond usual expectations, an extra charge may apply.
