Tucked softly into a bamboo grove, Illi Veedu offers a cosy stay for those seeking connection with nature. This charming & rustic cottage is thoughtfully designed with love, blending seamlessly with its surroundings. Designed to stay open to the elements, the house welcomes a gentle breeze throughout the day. Inside, you'll find a double bed, inviting seating, and a peaceful verandah where you can unwind. The open-roof washroom adds a touch of adventure while still offering comfort and privacy. The space The Mudhouse Marayoor has 8 cottages of varying design and comforts. We can host a maximum of 20 adults at the 4.5 acre property. This listing allows you to reserve a tiny cottage that can host 2 adults. The cottage is away from other guests and provides you a peaceful ambiance under a bamboo canopy. Please note that our kitchen and dining area are common spaces where all guests can visit. Guest access Guests have access to the compounded Illi Veedu. The dining and kitchen areas, as well as the garden and garden shed, are shared by all guests. A short 5-minute walk from the property leads to a private viewpoint, offering stunning views of the land. It's a perfect spot to enjoy watching birds, deer, butterflies, and a variety of tiny creatures in all shapes and colors Other things to note Kindly note that we are located in a remote village of Munnar, called Marayoor, located 30 Kms away from Munnar town. Tea plantations are 10 Kms away. We are a forest bordered property. Kindly plan your stay with us accordingly. The Mudhouse is a tranquil destination where one can unwind and be one with nature. Listen to the birds singing or at times, in the absolute stillness, the quiet breathing of mother nature. Kindly avoid visiting here if you tend to love loud music and are looking for a party place. Being a sustainable property making use of mostly natural materials, maintenance activities are very much a part and parcel of the experience. If you're lucky, you'd get to witness the changing of thatch or mud polishing and get to converse with the artisans.
