Vogelsang Charming Garden Guesthouse

Relax at this unique and tranquil getaway. Located just behind our home, in walking distance to lovely downtown West Jefferson in a quiet residential neighborhood. Intimate and charming, this guesthouse sits atop our historic garage. Perfect for couples, solo travelers or parent with child. The guesthouse has a queen bed, full bath with shower (no tub), small refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, electric kettle, hair dryer, coffee, condiments and TV. The space We are a block from the town park with library, ball fields, picnic tables under massive trees and a stream running along the walkway. Two blocks from the park is downtown with shops, restaurants, movie theatre, breweries and a bakery. Guest access The guesthouse sits atop our garage with 15 steps up to the entrance. You can park right at the base of the steps. The stairs are well lit at night and there is a handrail. If you are not comfortable with stairs, this may not be the best property for you. When you arrive, take the steps up to the blue door. Your door will be unlocked and your keys will be in the bowl just inside the door. Our neighborhood is very quiet but we have lots of birds, hence the name Vogelsang which is German for "bird song". We feed the birds because we like having them in our yard. If you sleep with your windows open, you will hear them when you wake in the mornings. Other things to note The guesthouse does not have a full kitchen but does contain a small frig, microwave, Mr Coffee, electric kettle, plates and utensils. There are also lots of great restaurants, breweries and bakery in 5 minutes walk.
