Welcome to Heartstone Country Retreat! A place to breathe. Tucked away in the rolling farmlands of the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia, only 4 miles from the heart of historic downtown Lexington, VMI and W&L university, and 6 miles from the Virginia Horse Center, this cozy space offers a retreat from the hectic pace of modern day lifestyles. No pets. The space This very comfortable, peaceful hideaway is in what we call the Bull Barn. Atop a flight of stairs, over looking pasture land, a view of the Blue Ridge Mountains through the large picture window, greets you. A cozy queen bed with quality bedding, 4 sleeping pillows, extra blanket, full bath with large shower, plush towels, family style toiletries, hair dryer. The studio has a full kitchen with a counter eating area/4 stools, fully supplied with dishes, pots/pans, glassware, microwave, full refrigerator; sitting area with a 3 cushion sofa & a wing-back chair. Coffee pot/'starter' coffee, teas, basic condiments. Guest access This space is in between private owner spaces but is completely separate from the other guest accommodations and event space across the yard. Guests are welcome to share all outdoor spaces: grapevine covered pergola, stone garden, fire pit and/or chiminea, gazebo, and the meditation garden. Other things to note Heartstone is an intimate event venue as well as a vacation destination. Weddings, birthdays, reunions, and other celebrations are commonly held throughout the year. Parking is approximately 100 feet away from studios so please take into account weather and ground conditions at the time of arrival and during your stay.
