Bed and breakfast in Suisse Normande

We would be glad to welcome you in our hundred-years-old stone house. The advantages of the accomodation: * ideal area for hiking, * central location for visiting monuments and historical sites, * quiet hamlet to spend calm nights, * an friendly cat lives in the house (but not in the bedrooms). On reservation, a “homemade” diner can be prepared. (20€/pers.) Breakfast is included. For hikers, we can offer to prepare sandwiches for lunch. (9€/pers.) The space We will welcome you in our hundred-years-old stone house. It has been renovated in a rather contemporary style. It has a big terrace and a small garden. You will sleep in one of the three bedrooms. The room where you will sleep (around 15 m² ) has: - a 140×190 bed (with a rather firm matress) - a private bathroom (including sink, shower, water toilet) Guest access You can read or relax in the garden. You may browse and read the books in the living room and borrow board games. There is a lock on the bedroom's door. Please feel free to ask for details. During your stay We will be at home during your stay. So just ask if you have any questions . Other things to note The house is located 15 minutes from the Caen ring road, 20-25 minutes from Caen city center, 15 minutes from Thury Harcourt (and even less from Suisse Normande!), 30 minutes from the Bayeux Tapestry, 35 minutes from the D-day beaches, 1h15 from Mont Saint Michel... From the house, various hiking trails are available to you without using the car. They will allow you to discover on foot or by bike: wild valleys, forests, banks of the Orne river, wash houses, manor houses and chapels... The hiking trail from Caen to Mont Saint Michel passes 50 meters from the house. A cycle path joins the village with shops: bakery, butcher, pizzeria, pharmacy, tobacconist... (5 min by bike/20 min by foot) The "railway cycling road" is 20 minutes away by bike. A supermarket is 7 minutes away by car. Here, we are part of an approach to reducing energy expenditure and water resources. (Limitation and sorting of waste, composting, etc.)
