Our house, part of a historic 20th-century residence, Villa Vicario, is located in the heart of a 7500-square-meter park, a short walk from Como and Milan. It is a "no shoes house", where you can leave your shoes and thoughts outside and where time seems to stand still. We have passionately renovated our nest, creating two unique rooms for guests, both with a private bathroom, independent entrance, terrace overlooking the countryside and mountains, and a transparent bubble as a co-living space. We have called our home "Saso' - House of Charm and Relaxation for Wandering Dreamers" because we love Nature and authentic beauty and believe that life is a wonderful journey full of fantastic discoveries. With us you will experience unique emotions, as in our Sharazad room, cared for in every detail to make your experience a journey within a journey. You will be delighted by the quiet of the place that we ask you to respect, a quiet interrupted only by the braying of the donkeys, the call of the birds and, if you are lucky, by the nocturnal song of the female tawny owl. Guest access To reach us, just take the A9 highway and exit at Fino Mornasco. From there, follow the signs for Lurate Caccivio. Then, along a country road where you might meet bunnies, donkeys and a few cows, you will reach the gate of our house that opens onto the long avenue of lime trees that leads to the entrance. You can park your car under the canopy and from here take the external spiral staircase that leads to the private terrace and your independent entrance. Once the door is opened, our Sharazad room is on the left, facing the large windows. We are very sorry but, at the moment, our house IS NOT SUITABLE FOR PEOPLE WITH WALKING DISABILITIES. Sharazād takes its name from the legendary queen and narrator of The Thousand and One Nights and has Persian origins, meaning "like whose land is free and adventurous" (as well as a beautiful woman, a wise woman and a woman with freedom of mind). For us, it also represents one of our favorite places, a place in Zanzibar where, in addition to feeling at home in an intimate and relaxed environment, we have found many Zanzibari friends that we try to help in our own small way. We would like those who choose this room to feel "enveloped" by the branches of the Red Beech and to spend nights like in "A Thousand and One Nights" not so much for the glitz but for the warmth and spirit that is breathed. It is at your disposal and for the exclusive use of guests in our rooms: - TERRACE adjacent to the room, set up to enjoy the view of Viale dei Tigli, the countryside and the mountains, equipped with comfortable seats, coffee table and umbrella, darts. - A RELAXATION/CO-LIVING AREA in a TRANSPARENT BUBBLE that can be reached by descending from the external spiral staircase, along the perimeter of the house and a small illuminated path. It is located in the greenery, under an oak tree and a calicanto that in winter floods the air with a fantastic scent. There is no wifi here, and there is no TV to allow you to disconnect and enjoy moments of absolute relaxation and sharing between you and other guests.
