Set out from the vacation rental on a day trip to the peaks of the Bohemian and Bavarian Forests and enjoy beautiful moments in the picturesque landscape. Nearby destinations such as the Hohe Bogen, Gibacht, Osser, Arber, Kaitersberg, or the highest peak of the Bohemian Forest (Cerchov) invite you to enjoy extensive hiking or mountain biking tours. During the summer months of July and August, experience Germany’s oldest festival, “Den Drachenstich,” in the town of Furth im Wald, featuring the world’s largest walking robot. The unique festival summer in the Cham district also offers other highlights, such as “Trenck der Pandur” in the neighboring town of Waldmünchen, the Bad Kötzting Forest Festival, and the Lichtenegger Castle Festival.
