Description
Stronbeag is a traditional home located 5 minutes walk from the picturesque Tobermory town centre and only 10 minutes from the marina. It has an extensive private garden, and outdoor seating area with harbour view. It's close to the town centre, yet provides an escape from the busier tourist areas. It's set next to the impressive Strongarbh house. The space Stronbeag has a spacious living area, and sunny, light dining area which is open to the conservatory. The conservatory has comfortable chairs which are ideal for watching the birds and other wild life in the garden, which includes deer. It has a large kitchen diner and two bathrooms, one with a slipper bath and traditional wall panelling, the other with a shower. There is one very large bedroom, which has a kingsize bed and an, optional, additional small single or travel cot. There's a cosy double bedroom and another good sized room with two single beds. There's a desk with adjustable office chair and the internet connection is good. There's an entrance porch which is very useful for shoes, coats and other wet things. There's an outdoor seating area, driveway with space for 3 cars and a large garden with cherry, pear and holly trees. There's no TV/ TV licence at the property. However there is a DVD player with screen and board games for adults and children. Guest access We are letting the whole house and garden for your private use. Children and dogs are welcome. Keeping dogs downstairs where we have hard floors is helpful to prevent any excess cleaning fees and we provide a baby gate to help with this. Other things to note If there's anything that will make your stay easier/ stress free let us know. For example, we can provide comfortable, cotton topped waterproof mattress protectors for all beds on request. Dogs and children should be kept under control in the garden to prevent them going into our neighbour's garden as it is not fully fenced. The driveway is also open to the road, it is a quiet road, but smaller children may need supervision to prevent them straying. There are playing fields and a park very nearby that children will enjoy. Older children will be able to walk to them safely. The house has steps up to it and the stairs go round a corner so it is not ideal for anyone with mobility difficulties. The building you can see in the picture behind the house is Tobermory school. It is a small school with primary and secondary school children onsite. We live in the property in the winter and let it out in the summer while we are running our boat. We hope you will love our home as much as we do. We are also letting the property out for Christmas while we are away. If you stay with us in winter, the conservatory may be a little cool but we do provide blankets should you want to sit in there. We do have a good central heating system and most of the house is a pleasant temperature. The living room is especially cosy with the fire on. The outdoor furniture is also packed away, to prevent it blowing away. Registration Details AR02238F
