Description

Little Acorn Cottage is a fully self-contained, one-bedroom annexe in large grounds in a beautiful rural location with fabulous view of the Malvern Hills, a quiet peaceful location for those wanting to fully relax. The local countryside is great for walking, road or mountain biking. Within 10/15 minutes are the pretty market town of Ledbury, Eastnor Castle. Great Malvern and the Three Counties Show-ground are 20 minutes and Cheltenham - There is a wonderful Pub in walking distance . The space Self Catering: Although Little Acorn Cottage is self catering. To make your arrival easier we provide a "starter pack/initial supply of consumables such as 1 toilet roll, soap washing up liquid, starter tea and coffee so you can settle in straight away. So please remember to bring your own personal toiletries and if necessary extra toilet products & consumables. Tesco's HR8 1DQ or Aldi HR8 2SS are our nearest supermarkets or the Nest which sells artisan provisions. Inside Little Acorn Cottage There is a lit porch which enters into a hall way with a cupboard for coats and shoes, plus a larder to house any food you may wish to bring. The property is a one bedroom property with a luxury king size bed with Superking duvet, with anti-allergy bedding and bed linen is provided. There is plenty of hanging and storage space, plus has a dressing table and hairdryer for your use. The bathroom has large shower style, level-access shower, toilet, sink and heated towel rail. We do provide 2 bath towels and 1 hand towel. The main living space has a kitchen area equipped with everything you need to self-cater, including a coffee maker Delonghi Dedica Espresso Machine which requires Ground Coffee please bring coffee to your taste, induction hob, oven, fridge and freezer, microwave and Ninja airfryer. The seating area has a three-seater sofa and arm chair and smart TV, Netflix, Radio which has Bluetooth capability as a speak for your music, Wifi, games puzzles and books for your use. This is a non smoking property anywhere on the premises. There is a log burner we supply kiln dried logs on request £15 per basket and fire lighters, please pay for logs used on departure. Outsider space Little Acorn Cottage has its own private patio which over looks part of the grounds which is private to Meadowhead Cottage. The patio has a table and four chairs & cushions, sun umbrella/shade, table cloth for outdoor use, hose pipe for washing off Wellies or walking boots or muddy doggie. The patio for the cottage is fenced in especially for those bringing their four legged friend. The Patio area also has its own private gate giving you direct access to a Public Right of Way for walking off road, one way leads you to the Oak at Staplow a lovely country pub. Parking You will have your own parking space for one car if you are travelling in two vehicles please let us know so we can accommodate you. We do not have EV charging however Tesco's in Ledbury does have speedy charging. You have your own access to the property which is for your sole use and lit at night. Highlights & recommended local restaurant's. There is wonderful off road walking bring Wellies / walking boots. Cyclist there are plenty of routes to go cycling and quiet country lanes. My husband is a very keen cyclist and can help you plan routes if you require. The Nest at Little Verzons Farm is 1.7 mile away open 7 days a week with Farm shop and cafe plus award winning plant centre attached. The serve fabulous artisan food breakfasts are amazing so is the cafe lunch. The farm shop has local 1st class produce . The Malthouse Cafe & Gallery HR8 1DW You will find the Malthouse tucked away near the church in the heart of Ledbury. A favourite of ours. The Oak at Staplow HR8 1NP Walkable from the property, a quintessentially traditional English Pub and restaurant 16th Century English Country Pub. Dog friendly. We recommend you do however book and let them know if you are taking a dog. Our local pub. 33 The Homend Ledbury HR8 1BP Michelin Star Restaurant 18th Centry Grade 2 listed building in the heart of Ledbury. Please book only has accommodates 14 covers per night. Guest access Guests have their own private access to the annex, parking for one car, if you require an extra parking space please let us know if you are arriving in two separate cars, we can accommodate you. There is a Private gateway that leads straight onto a quiet public right of way with great off road walking. The walk is along the old Hereford to Gloucester Canal Tow Path, straight to the Oak at Staplow, wise to book pub in advance if you wish to eat. Other things to note Dogs We are very dog friendly but please let us know prior to booking if you wish to bring a dog no larger than a springer spaniel, only 1 dog. We do have a cat but Teddy tends to stay away from annex as he is mindful of strange dogs. Patio area is fenced off and there is a direct access onto Public Right of Way to walk your dog. There is a hose outside to wash your furry friend off after lovely walks, please bring your own dog towel and bedding. Please do not let you dog on the sofa or bed. Thank you.
