Cozy yurt on regenerative small farm

Our handmade yurt offers a natural experience in the heart of the Sunnmørsalpene. Here you can see the starry sky through the roof window while you fall asleep to the sounds of the forest. Immediate proximity to endless hiking opportunities, only 1 hour from Ålesund. The yurt is located at our regenerative farm where we grow raspberries and keep sheep and llamas. At times it is possible to buy goods from the farm. The space The cabin is privately located at the edge of the forest, where you have a view over the farm, the fjord and the mountains. The hut has a simple kitchen with gas stove, mini fridge and cold water. Heating with wood stove. There are two double bed futons: these can easily be switched between bed, lounge mode and sofa. Right outside you will find the outhouse and outdoor shower with hot water. The yurt is built of as natural and environmentally friendly materials as possible, and is insulated with 100% felted sheep wool. It is completely and carefully handmade by Tarjei, according to a Canadian design. There is a kennel close to the yurt that we have for our polar dogs when we use the yurt ourselves. Use of this can be arranged, but pets in the yurt are not allowed. The farm is located on Tandstad in Sykkylven, midway between Ålesund, Strandafjellet and Geirangerfjorden. Here you can rush down to the fjord, and the surrounding mountains offer one of Norway's most spectacular hiking areas for outdoor activities and winter sports. Other things to note The yurt is 5 m in diameter, but is experienced as spacious. You will find a brochure in the yurt with practical information and some hiking tips for the surrounding area. Here are wood, propane, clean bed linen and towels. The yurt has a simple style in line with our life values and our larger project with the farm. If you have never fired a wood-burning stove, used a gas stove, or washed dishes by hand, this may not be for you :) Smoking is not allowed, either inside or near the yurt.
