Cosy 1 Bed Flat in Oxfordshire
Cosy 1 Bed Flat in Oxfordshire
Description
Welcome to my cosy, colourful Georgian apartment in Faringdon, a charming Oxfordshire market town. Perfect for visiting, working locally or enjoying a longer stay, it’s a welcoming home-from-home with a spacious living room, desk and dining table, double bedroom and well-equipped kitchen. A five-minute walk from the town centre, it’s a great base for exploring Oxford, Swindon and the Cotswolds. Full of colour and character, it’s a comfortable, lived-in home where you can make yourself at home. The space This is my own home, set up for comfortable everyday living. It’s cosy, colourful and well equipped, particularly if you enjoy cooking and want somewhere to settle in for a few weeks. Bedroom The bedroom has a double bed with an electric blanket, two wardrobes and a chest of drawers. I’ll leave space for your clothes and belongings, although some personal items will remain in the wardrobes. Living room There’s a spacious living room with a desk, dining table and a comfortable place to relax. Wi-Fi is reliable, making it suitable for working remotely. Kitchen I love cooking, so the kitchen is well equipped with an oven, built-in microwave, two-ring induction hob, air fryer, multicooker, small fridge with freezer compartment, and plenty of cookware, crockery and utensils. There’s also a moka pot and milk frother for coffee. You’ll have cupboard space for your own food, and you’re welcome to use the kitchen essentials already here, including herbs, seasonings and cooking oil. If you finish something, I’d simply ask you to replace it. There’s no dishwasher, old school washing up only. You’ll have a washing machine and a small tumble dryer, as well as a Sheila Maid clothes airer. Shower room and toilet The recently renovated shower room and toilet are in separate rooms. There’s storage for your toiletries. Heating and hot water Hot water is available on demand. The flat has night storage heaters, with an additional electric heater in the living room and a heated throw for extra comfort. Guest access You’ll have exclusive use of the entire ground-floor apartment, with your own private entrance. Access is straightforward using a lockbox, so you can let yourself in without needing to arrange a key handover. Free on-street parking is available on the surrounding roads, although spaces aren’t allocated. Other things to note A home with character This is my own home, rather than a purpose-built holiday apartment, so personal belongings, books and decorative touches will remain. I’ll make space for your clothes and belongings, and you’ll have room in the kitchen cupboards for your own food. A little work in progress The living room shutters are fully functional but are awaiting a cosmetic makeover. You may spot some paint samples showing the colours I’m considering! Heating The flat uses night storage heaters, which work differently from conventional central heating. An additional electric heater and a heated throw are available for extra comfort. Kitchen and laundry The kitchen is well equipped for home cooking, although there’s no dishwasher. A washing machine and small tumble dryer are available. Bathroom layout The shower room and toilet are separate, and there is no bath. Longer stays The flat is particularly suited to guests looking for an independent, comfortable base for a few weeks, whether working locally, visiting family or exploring Oxfordshire and the Cotswolds. Staying over the festive season? There’s a Christmas tree tucked away under the bed if you’d like to make the place feel a little more festive! Surrounding area Faringdon is a great base for exploring Oxfordshire and the Cotswolds.
