The School Room

Georgian charm meets contemporary style in this light-filled open-plan barn. Sympathetically renovated in 2025, the Grade 2 listed School Room is luxurious, characterful and restorative. Nestled in the Somerset village of Croscombe, it is ideally located to explore Wells, Cheddar, Glastonbury, Bruton & Frome. The village itself has an award winning country pub (2 minutes walk) serving real ales, local ciders and is a popular place to eat home cooked food. The space There is a large, fully equipped kitchen with a dishwasher and gas cooker. It has seating around the granite and oak kitchen peninsula with bar stools. The beautiful shower room has a traditional style with a large modern shower. The centrepiece of the sitting room is the original fireplace of Bath stone - with a wood burning stove; and the reading nook providing a separate quiet space. The bedroom with a freestanding bath, is on the mezzanine floor. Guest access The School Room is adjacent to the main house but there is privacy between the two buildings. Guests are welcome to use the garden and there is garden seating for outside dining. There is a parking space for visitors on the driveway, Other things to note Dogs by request only.
