Welcome to Superior Haven, your next retreat on beautiful Lake Superior! Enjoy your own private lakeshore and panoramic lake views while staying at a central spot on the North Shore. The cabin is conveniently located and only a short drive from multiple state parks, hiking and mountain biking trailheads, smaller public lakes, and Lutsen ski trails. The space This cozy getaway is perfect for families, couples, friends, or solo travelers. Whether you’re looking to spend a few days exploring the great outdoors, relaxing with a book by the campfire, or working remotely with stunning lake views, Superior Haven is your ideal destination. The cabin is proudly pet friendly, so no need to leave your furry friends behind! The rental space is the lower level of the cabin with walkout and endless lake views. There is a king bed and pull out couch that also has a full bed, sleeping up to 4 total guests. There is high speed wifi, making remote work a breeze. The kitchenette has a microwave, pot coffee maker, Keurig, toaster, and toaster oven. There is also a full size refrigerator with a freezer. There is one bathroom with a shower and a large vanity. On rainy days, we have a 49” TV that you can sign-in to your favorite streaming service or bring your favorite movie to play in the PlayStation 3. Right along your private lakeshore, you’ll find a cottage with campfire benches, picnic table, and complimentary firewood to enjoy peaceful evenings with serene views. There is a bean bag set and bocce ball. The cottage is open for day use, so if you need a quick escape from any bugs or less than ideal weather, you can slip in here for a reprieve. The cottage features full size windows so you can enjoy a lake breeze and the wave sounds while lounging on the couch. This is the perfect place to do a puzzle, read a book, or just enjoy the lake. The cabin has an upper and lower level. The lower level is what we are offering for rental with all the amenities we have described with pictures and Airbnb details. Please note - we respect guest privacy and make every effort to ensure every stay is without others above the rental space or on the property. There is complete security between levels. Important note about winter stays: November - April The North Shore is excellent for winter activities: downhill skiing (Lutsen), cross country skiing, snowshoeing, snowmobiling, winter hiking, and more. Please note snowstorms are always possible. We will do our best to ensure the driveway and path to our lower entrance are clear prior to check-in. We can typically respond to a snow event of 3 inches or more within 24 hours. We appreciate your flexibility so we can continue to offer Superior Haven during the winter months. Guest access As you enter our driveway you will see a blue sign between the garage doors with instructions for accessing our lower level (lakeside) rental entrance. Walk around the left side of the cabin and down the stairs. Once you’re done admiring the stunning lake views, turn right and you’ll find the entrance to Superior Haven. An access code will be provided to you shortly before your stay. Enter that into the keypad and then make yourself right at home! The little cottage right on the shore also has a keypad lock and we will provide this access code to you at the same time we provide the rental door code.
