Guest access The Apartment is yours to enjoy. There are 2 Bedrooms, Living Room, Kitchen & Bathroom. It is not shared with anyone else and will be exclusively yours for your stay. The front door is accessed via a key code box with a unique number which I will send to you prior to your visit. PLEASE NOTE OUR DETAILED ATTRACTIONS BELOW: Location is within 1 mile from amenities, 2 retails parks with many shops,and restaurants. 1 mile from the local hospital and local railway station with Darlington main station approx 12 miles and 20 minutes driving, Shildon Railway museum within 3 miles, approx 10 minutes drive Bishop Auckland also has its own Golf Club half a mile from the town centre with fantastic views and own clubhouse, The local "ONE GYM" is situated less than 5 minutes drive away Auckland Palace (formerly known as Auckland Castle) Distance: 1.5 Miles from DL14 6XN. A Historic Castle, walk in the footsteps of the Prince Bishops of Durham, the original ‘Kings of the North’. Auckland Castle reopened in 2019 following major conservation work. The building has been restored and the original wall colourings, furniture and textiles lovingly recreated. It's one of the biggest historical re-enactments in the UK. Two thousand years of history, myth and legend rush by in 90 minutes. Binchester Roman Fort This ancient Roman site offers a glimpse into Britain's Roman history, with remains of a bathhouse and fortification. Hardwick Country Park and Sedgefield racecourse A beautiful country park with a difference, a Visit England accredited attraction, and a great place to visit at any time of the year. Find all the information you'll need to make your visit an enjoyable one. The racecourse is less than 1 mile from the country park Hamsterley Forest A large forest offering scenic walking trails fantastic for runners, hikers and mountain bikers, many picnic spots on fields and river banks Great for outdoor enthusiasts looking to explore nature. Raby Castle and its beautiful gardens and wild roaming deer Durham City: Approximately 11 miles, around a 20-minute drive with its cathedral, castle and river right in the city and very easy to negotiate (an absolute must experience) Chester-le-Street home of Durham cricket and several England games throughout the summer months Newcastle upon Tyne: Around 30 miles, typically a 50-minute drive. Middlesbrough: 22 miles, a 40-minute drive. Barnard Castle: 14 Miles, 25-minute drive time. York: 64 miles, a drive of around 1 hour and 20 minutes. Other places of interest include Barnard Castle, Hamsterley forest, Shildon railway museum.
