Description
Tautu Retreat is a beautiful home nestled in the peaceful village of Tautu. Relax to the soothing sounds of nature and bask in the warmth of the Aitutaki sunrise from our spacious balcony where breathtaking views of lush greenery await from the elevated vantage point of our two-story home. The space Tautu Retreat is a modern, fully self-contained home situated on the upper level of a two-storey stilt house. Thoughtfully designed for comfort and functionality, the home features two spacious bedrooms, two bathrooms, and an open-plan kitchen, dining, and living area that flows seamlessly onto a generous balcony—perfect for relaxing or entertaining. The master bedroom includes a private ensuite, while the second bedroom offers two king single beds, ideal for families or friends traveling together. Both bedrooms are equipped with fans and have direct access to the balcony, allowing guests to enjoy the refreshing island breeze. The sleek, modern kitchen is fitted with an island bench and a dining suite that comfortably seats six. It comes fully equipped with a microwave, gas oven and cooktop, large fridge and freezer, bar fridge, toaster, kettle, quality cookware, utensils, and crockery—everything you need to prepare and enjoy delicious meals. The home is mostly insect-screened for your comfort, except for the living room sliding door. While there is no air conditioning, the elevated position and open-plan design ensure natural airflow and a cool, constant breeze throughout the day and night. Sleeps 4 people. Guest access The entire upper level is available for guests use and there is a separate laundry located downstairs with a washing machine and ironing board/iron for your use during your stay. In the area is Neibaa Convenience store for your grocery and takeout needs. Enjoy lunch at the popular Avatea Cafe conveniently located 5 minutes drive away. Get involved in the community by attending a Sunday service at the local Tautu church. A 15 minutes drive takes you to the main township of Arutanga where you will find the local supermarkets, eateries, ATM's, market places and beaches. Other things to note Getting Around the Island: Since the island stretches quite a distance and public transport options are limited, we highly recommend hiring your own vehicle for convenience and flexibility. Scooters are a popular and cost-effective choice for getting around.
