Description
Sip your morning coffee and relax at this peaceful and centrally-located place. Cozy up by the fire after a day of outdoor adventure in the north country. This cabin is nestled into the hillside of the northeast highlands, and is a short ride from both the White Mountains of New Hampshire and the Green Mountains of Vermont. Parking is at the bottom of the driveway, and there is a trail uphill through the woods to get to the cabin. The outhouse is on the way along the path. No running water. The space Our homestead sits on 125 acres of woodland. You are welcome to explore on foot, snowshoe, backcountry ski, or other non motorized activities. It is a great place for bird watching and tracking animals. The property is home to moose, bear, rabbit, deer, and other northeastern flora and fauna. Cabin: We built this one room 12’ x 16’ cabin when we first moved here, and lived in it for about six years. It is cozy and well insulated with great natural lighting and pine board interior. It is about 30’ away from the larger A-Frame we built, tucked into the trees. Bathroom: There is an outhouse on the trail between the cabin and the driveway, guests are encouraged to use the facilitrees, and there is an efficiency composting toilet in the cabin. Kitchen: There is a sink with a drain, and a pitcher with water. There is a woodstove inside and a grill outside for cooking. No running water. Electricity: There is a small 100W solar panel that powers the lights and can charge a laptop or phone. It is not suitable to power any heating elements. Guest access You are welcome to enjoy the property, just please take care to stay on the paths and not trample the gardens. Other things to note Parking is at the bottom of the driveway. There is a trail from the driveway uphill through the woods to the cabin. There is no running water, and limited electricity.
