Erndale Mews

Erndale Mews is a unique cottage on the edge of the Lincolnshire Wolds, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB). Located in a quiet village, four miles from the historic market town of Louth and 10 miles from the nearest beach. It has its own entrance and a secret courtyard garden; a well-equipped kitchen, with a full range of appliances; a downstairs bathroom with a walk-in shower; a cosy living room with a woodburning stove and space for dining. A king- and a twin-bedroom are upstairs. The space The cottage has been completely renovated to a high standard by the current owners (the herringbone quarry tile floor was a labour of love!). Downstairs, there is underfloor heating throughout as well as the woodburning stove in the living room to keep you warm and cosy. There is a 43" Freely television, and the patio doors open out onto the shared courtyard. The kitchen has a cooker, dishwasher, fridge with freezer compartment, and microwave, as well as a coffee machine, toaster and kettle. The washing machine is in the adjacent utility room. The bathroom has a walk-in shower with a rainfall shower head, and a separate hand-held one. There is a heated towel rail as well as the underfloor heating. Both upstairs bedrooms have a heated towel rail incorporated into the radiators. They also have a ceiling fan each for when the weather is warmer. Looking out of the window, across the courtyard, you can see the start of the Wolds in the distance. Just a 20-minute drive from Cadwell Park, and within walking distance of the start of the Wolds, Erndale Mews is ideally situated for exploring the Lincolnshire Wolds and surrounding area. Lincoln is 45 minutes away and Cleethorpes, Mablethorpe, and Skegness are close enough for a day trip if you fancy a day at the seaside. There are also numerous other wild beaches, including Donna Nook, with protected wildlife areas nearby. Louth is only a 10-minute drive away and has a variety of cafes, restaurants, pubs and independent shops to explore (note that a lot of places are closed on Mondays), along with its famous church, Hubbards Hills, and the Louth museum. Guest access There is a private courtyard garden solely for the use of Erndale Mews guests. To access it, go through the gate to the left of the garages and follow the path round. Guests are also welcome to use the shared courtyard in front of the cottage, although please note that the hosts require permanent access to the garage block. Parking is strictly on the driveway in front of Willanna House, as signed, or on Grange Lane itself. Please ensure that the gate is left clear at all times. Motorbikes may be parked in the shared courtyard by prior agreement with the host. Other things to note Please note that Erndale Mews is not suitable for guests with limited mobility as the bedrooms are situated on a different level from the bathroom. Similarly, the cottage is not suitable for children under the age of 10 years. We have a 2-night minimum stay on Fridays and Saturdays. If you wish to stay on a Saturday, you can book either Friday and Saturday or Saturday and Sunday.
