Susanna's wonderful manor with its own lake

Looking for a magical place to plan some enchanting days? Are you attracted to lake views, evening sun, hot tubs, high ceilings, beautiful furniture, large halls, tiled ovens and a fantastically large kitchen to cook with your friends? If you also want to experience something unique and different, head to our Lada, one of the most beautiful training rooms we know of, with beach volleyball court, climbing wall and artificial grass pitch. The space As the hostess of the house, I don't know exactly what or which part of the mansion I love the most. Sitting in a kayak out on your own lake and just looking at the house is breathtaking. A glass of wine on the balcony facing the lake is lovely on a summer afternoon; here, it is sunny until the sun goes down behind the trees on the other side of the lake. Cooking with friends in the 40 sqm roomy kitchen with a lake view from the counter qualifies as a top 10. The coziest break time must be afternoon tea in the green room in front of the fire and playing Orangino. Wake up first thing in the morning, take your coffee down to the pier and enjoy a cup after a cooling dip. From May to September, it is definitely swim-friendly in our own lake. Then it's absolutely wonderful that the night before an important party to just walk around the halls and enjoy the nice table setting, sit in an armchair in the foam parlor and just look out over the three beautiful rooms and feel the anticipation for tomorrow. If you would like to be looked after during your stay, it is fine to book our absolutely most wonderful housewife who makes sure that you only do what feels fun, everything else is taken care of by our Ingela. Guest access You rent the mansion's main building, which has three floors with a total of 600 sqm. On the lower floor, you will find 4 bedrooms with a lake view. There is also a living room, a bathroom with bathtub/shower and toilet as well as two bathrooms with toilet and sink. The beautiful staircase leads up to the intermediate level and on the way up is our favorite balcony, where 4-6 people can sit and enjoy afternoon sun, afternoon drinks and look out over the lake and garden. The middle floor of the house is the place for socializing, here are three large halls in line with the large hall in the middle. The room can be set for 40 people but still does not feel deserted when setting up a dinner for 10 friends. From the hall, there is a door to a balcony facing the front of the house, which gets the morning sun. The adjacent rooms, Susanna's foam parlor and the Green Room are lovely places to hang out in. Either for a drink before dinner or for a coffee afterwards. On the intermediate level, you will also find the huge kitchen with fireplace and space for many chefs. The kitchen is fully equipped, with everything from a mixer to a rice cooker. In addition, there are lots of serving trays and bowls, as well as champagne glasses, wine glasses, water glasses, plates, saucers, coffee cups and cutlery for 40 people. On the intermediate level, there are two bathrooms: one with toilet, sink and shower and one with toilet and sink. At the top of the house, there are four equally sized bedrooms decorated in slightly different styles. There are two bathrooms, one with toilet and bathtub/shower as well as one with shower, small sauna and washing machine. At the very top, there is also a living room with comfortable armchairs for about 8 people. The manor house has a large garden and the back side facing the lake is very private. Here, you will find the hot tub that accommodates 5-6 adults, a small wooden deck located right next to the pool with a sofa group for 6-8 people. Here's a great place to set up your barbecue in the summer. There are also tables and chairs, so you can sit outside and eat. By default, there is furniture for 18 people, but more tables can be brought in. You'll even have access to the kayaks located at your own jetty about 30 meters from the house. Two really wide and stable beginner kayaks and another one that is a bit more for the experienced. We also have two sea kayaks that can be used with care. The ping pong table that stands in the shade is usually a favorite, rackets and balls are, of course, in place. We also have what you need to plan a fun pentathlon: dartboard, pub games, balls, buckets, boules etc. For those of you who are sporty, the barn is recommended. It is located 700 meters from the house, has 10 meters in ceiling height and is at 450 m2. The sports barn has professional lighting and a full beach volleyball court, as well as an artificial grass court for games 3 to 3. Goals, balls, and racket are available to borrow. If you want to use the barn, let us know when booking because it is booked on certain days (additional cost). Please note that the barn is not insulated, so dress for outdoor training. The barn also does not have water or a toilet. So, think about it before you go. Water bottles are available to borrow from us. It is also possible to book our large wooden deck of about 200 sqm with furniture for 40 people, as well as our nice boathouse right next to the lake. This part of the property is not included as standard but is perfect for those who might be planning a wedding or a major event. Other things to note The default price shown on Airbnb refers to accommodations for 8 people, excluding cleaning and use of bed linens and towels. We have 10 bedrooms with a total of 18-21 beds. If you want to more to stay, there are extra beds and the possibility for more room or to add more houses. It is also possible to add sheets and towels. Cost SEK 190 per person. Cost for cleaning the entire house of 600 sqm is SEK 3600. If you want to rent our barn, it costs SEK 1,600 in conjunction with the booking. We have a two-night minimum booking on all holidays and in summer, two-night minimum also applies when the house is booked for parties and get-togethers. Over Christmas or New Year, three nights apply. We would like you to contact us and check before booking. The manor house was built in 1694 when Älvkarleö Bruk was built. The oldest part of the house is 300 years old and even though we renovated the manor house you will notice that the floors are sometimes a little crooked, some doors are a little difficult to close and there are drafts from the floor and windows. In the autumn, it is nice to use the fireplace in the kitchen and, if you are freezing, there are extra elements to turn on for the bedrooms on the lower floor. In summertime, the lower level is cool while it is warmer at the top. In autumn and winter, bring socks or slippers because the floors are cold. A couple of doors in the house are locked; these lead to storage areas for our supplies.
