Midwood Cottage is set in a private, peaceful location, it sleeps 2 guests and is situated in the beautiful seaside village of Alnmouth. It is next door to Midwood Lodge which is handy when there is a bigger family group. It has a large king size bed with en-suite shower-room (no bath). There is a lovely lounge-diner and a fully fitted kitchen area with views to the bird feeding station. There is private parking and a large garden, a patio area and a bike shed. Excellent WIFI for home working. The space The Cottage location is peaceful with its own private parking. There is a large private woodland garden with a lovely tree-house and a bike shed. The local family friendly pubs are only 5 minutes walk away as is the beautiful beach in Alnmouth. The Northumberland coastline in a designated area of outstanding natural beauty. The village has a few shops, an art gallery, several cafes and a little marina with boats. Alnwick Castle and Alnwick Gardens are only 10 minutes drive from the Cottage. Alnmouth Golf Club is 10 minutes walk and it is widely regarded as one of the finest golf courses in the North East of England. Please note that we are very sorry but during school Summer holidays we can only let the Cottage for weekly bookings starting on a Friday. It is 15 minutes walk to the train station and we can arrange to pick you up from the train station too. It is the main London to Edinburgh line and so some guests visit Edinburgh for the day. The bus stop for local buses is at the top of our drive. The Cottage is accessed by the front door, a key safe is to the right of the door. Guest access There is a lovely, huge, woodland garden with private patio area and there is a tree-house for children to play in. We have a shed in the garden which guests can use to store bikes.
