The Hugalow is a warm, welcoming and comfortable home, great for families with children, couples, seniors and small groups that want a cozy space to gather. It is located on a safe, residential block in the heart of Shorewood, a Milwaukee east-side village just blocks away from Lake Michigan and in the heart of the business district. Coming for a Brewers or Bucks game? Sweet! The bar around the corner offers FREE shuttle service to American Family Field and the Fiserv Forum (Summerfest too!). The space The home has classic bungalow details complemented by unique art, furniture and accessories. Mid century modern pieces mingle with antiques and curb found treasures for a creative, yet down to earth ambiance. Lots of windows and exposure to natural light add to the cheerful energy of the Hugalow. Guest access You will have access to the entire home, including laundry access in the basement and an additional half-bath and upstairs space that has two twin bednooks. A fenced-in backyard with hammock and patio furniture lends more options for relaxation and enjoyment. Other things to note This is my home, shared with my 2 sons and rescue pup. We request you treat our space as you would a space of someone you like and respect! Since it is a work in progress (we have been slowly remodeling since moving in a couple of years ago), we appreciate your openness to areas that may seem a bit "unfinished". However, you will enjoy new windows, central air (Nest controlled), refinished hardwood floors, and freshly painted rooms. A full remodel of the kitchen and downstairs bathroom was recently completed. All new appliances, chef-inspired layout, and colorful coffee bar alcove await your use. The main bath features Kohler fixtures and a spa-like ambiance.
