Chickadee Campsite

Our forest campsites are surrounded by nature adventures. This campsite is just a short walk into the site from where you park. Your campsite is equipped with a fire pit, picnic table, drinking water and space for at least two tents. There is a shared eco-toilet outhouse (No running water, electricity or internet service provided) The space We welcome you to our nature haven. If you are looking to get off grid, unplug and be grounded by nature then you have chosen the right place. We are near the White Mountain National Forest and bordered by conservation land. We are at 900 ft above sea level. Our wilderness campsites are private. We provide a relaxing sanctuary wilderness experience. We thank you ahead of time to actively participate in being respectful of the land. There is no Wifi, electricity or running water but there is very pure drinking water and many local pristine lakes. Enjoy your stay here as your base camp and easy access to many local fun spots. Find adventure in the White Mountain National Forest, Virginia Lake, Keewayden Lake, Keoka Lake, Lake Penesseewasee, Mt Washington, Grafton’s Notch, local ski areas including Sunday River, Mt. Abrams and Pleasant Mountain. Lovell Land Trust has many hiking trails near by. Looks up Greater Lovell Land Trust for the hiking trial maps. We are 25 minutes away from grocery and supply stores. There is a gas station 2 miles away. We are setting up a farm store where you can buy in season farm products including vegetables, herbs, herbal medicines, tinctures, salves, firewood bundles and more. If you would like to add something special to your stay if you schedule ahead of time we offer yoga classes, massage, reiki, and reflexology and other healing bodywork for $70- $100 an hour session. You can also ask at check in if any of these are available during your stay. We will also be offering an off grid permaculture homestead tour if you are interested in learning about sustainable living. $50 per group. Guest access Weymouth pond rd continues at the end of Jewett pond rd. You will go to the end of Weymouth pond rd and you will see a gate. There is a sign here that says Eco-Retreat and has an arrow pointing left. Go left here, go between two stone pillars marked with the number 32. You will go up around 1000 feet and you will see the driveway gets much steeper and there are deep rain bars that you will have to drive very slowly through. If you have low clearance we can shuttle you in. The campsite on the left with a sign. If you get to the yurts then you have gone past it. There is a parking space for a car near the camp site with a tiny walk in. There is room for a second car to park at the bottom of the hill. Other things to note Be prepared for all types of weather. Keep food and trash covered so as not to attract wildlife. We are setting up a farm stand that offers veggies, herbs, medicinals including tinctures and salves and more. . You may also be able to sign up for a yoga class or a massage, reiki or reflexology session. We also offer tours: 1 hour tour of our off grid permaculture homestead. $50 per group. 1 hour tour including 10 minute hike to a 40 acre private lake where you can swim and pick blueberries in season. $50/group. 1 hour tour for a 15 minute hike to an incredible mountain lookout view of a panoramic of mountains and lakes in the White Mountain National Forest including Mt Washington. $50 per group. 1 hour tour to the local waterfalls. $60 per group
