The space Welcome to a classic Oslo apartment with timeless charm and a bright, modern feel. Inspired by Nordic design, this thoughtfully decorated home blends historic character with contemporary comfort. You will be staying in a private room within a shared apartment, ideal for guests who value quality, light, and a calm atmosphere in the heart of the city. The apartment is over 65 square meters, with generous 3-meter ceilings that create an open, airy sense of space. The shared living areas have an open-plan layout that feels both spacious and social, with large corner windows bringing in beautiful natural light throughout the day. • Living Room: Bright and inviting, with stylish furniture and plenty of space to relax or work. The combination of classic features like ceiling rosettes and clean, modern design creates a cozy yet elegant atmosphere. • Fire Place: Guests are very welcome to enjoy the fireplace during their stay. The only thing I kindly ask is that you replace any firewood you use before checkout. Firewood sacks are easy to find at nearby grocery stores, including Norway Mat, just about 400 meters down the street. For safety, please remove any objects placed on top of the fireplace before lighting it. • Kitchen & Dining Area: The kitchen is fully equipped (with blender, kettle, storage space for your food and groceries, tea pot, coffee grinder, French press and mocca coffee maker) and designed for easy, enjoyable cooking. The dining area is seamlessly integrated into the open layout, ideal for both casual meals and long conversations over drink. • Bedroom: A peaceful, comfortable room with a large window, good storage, and a calm ambiance, perfect for restful sleep after a day exploring the city. For groups of 3 guests: a single bed is available and can be installed in the room upon request. • Bathroom: Clean and modern, equipped with washing machine and tumble dryer, heated floor and with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Other highlights: – Natural light in every room – Corner apartment with privacy and city charm – Access to a sunny, shared rooftop terrace – Easy street-level access – Excellent location close to city life, swimming spots, and nature This is a home that’s easy to fall in love with and a perfect base to enjoy Oslo like a local. Guest access Guests have full access to the apartment, with the exception of one private bedroom that is in use by the host during your stay. You’ll be able to enjoy the bright and spacious living areas, fully equipped kitchen, bathroom, and all shared spaces. Additionally, you’re welcome to use the building’s sunny rooftop terrace, the front garden, and other outdoor areas — perfect for relaxing with a coffee or enjoying the fresh air. IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT PARKING: Parking may also be available upon request, but please note that this must be arranged at least *two weeks* prior to your arrival. During your stay I will be living in the house during your stay. As your host, I am warm, open, and committed to making your stay as enjoyable as possible. I am happy to provide tips, recommendations, or help if needed — but I also respect your privacy and follow your lead when it comes to interaction. Whether you prefer a hands-on host or a more independent stay, I’ll do my best to match your preferences. Other things to note You’re renting a private room in a shared apartment with the host. Kindly inform the first names of all guests staying with you, including whether any are infants, babies, or if you require special assistance during your stay. Safety Notice for Families: Please note that this home is not specifically designed or equipped for infants, toddlers, or very young children. There are several features that may pose safety risks for little ones, such as: - Fragile glass items and decorative objects placed at low heights. - Kitchen tools including sharp knives and scissors stored in accessible drawers. - Unprotected electrical outlets and cables. - Breakable furniture pieces and art materials not suitable for children. - Steep edges and hard surfaces that can cause injury if children run or climb. - Cleaning products stored under the sink without child locks For these reasons, the apartment is best suited for adults or older children who can safely navigate and respect the space. Families traveling with babies or toddlers should consider that the apartment does not have baby-proofing, safety gates, or suitable play areas. Guests and Visitors: Parties are not allowed in the apartment, and I kindly ask that you always check with me first if you wish to invite someone who is not part of the original booking. If any additional overnight guests are not declared at the time of booking, there will be an additional charge of 300 NOK per guest, per night. This fee is necessary because each extra guest increases the use of utilities such as water, electricity, and heating, as well as the wear on linens, towels, and furniture. It also ensures compliance with building safety regulations and helps keep the apartment comfortable and fairly prepared for all guests.
