Description

The home holds many cherished family memories from previous generations, and now we want to share this unique place with others. - Fishing trips, with fantastic catches time and time again - Mountain hikes - Cloudberry picking - Skiing trips - City visits - Beautiful sandy beaches We have chosen to preserve the classic 70s charm that defines this home and its rooms. The entire inside of the house is under renovation, which is why there are almost no interior photos yet. The space The estate is large, with a big grass lawn area in front. Outside there is a wooden terrace, a perfect place for a BBQ. The front faces the Sortland strait where fishing boats and the famous "Hurtigruta" passes daily. Granddad used to love just sitting and enjoying the view. If your turn to the backside of the property there are vast hiking options and also a big marsh/myr where cloudberries grow. This is also a perfect place to enjoy the northern lights as there is almost no light pollution. If needed, we also have access to an additional house behind the main property, offering 2 apartments with 4-5 extra bedrooms. This makes it perfect for multiple families traveling together, whether for cozy winter days or long summer nights. We also have a garage with 4X4 car that can be booked for those of you arriving by bus or boat. Guest access The entire estate is at your feet. Our family also owns the property behind, so sometimes you might get extra service and some waffles served. We also have a garage and property for a boat house. If you want this is a great place to setup a tent for the kids or maybe just enjoying a picnic. Other things to note We are thrilled to invite you into our guest house. The house was built by my wife's granddad in 1955. It was later expanded in the 70´s as their number of children grew and they needed more space. He originally ran a Mink farm and some of the old buildings are still standing on the marsh behind the houses. A fun place to explore for kids, but be careful, the buildings are old.
