Cosy French retreat in Brettes

Relax in our two bedroom, two bathroom cosy cottage and let the French way of life embrace you. Situated in the quaint small village of Brettes, this stone cottage with its courtyard garden and small fenced dog friendly garden will help you relax after a day touring the local areas of the Charente. Enter the cottage via the sunny porch and relax in the open plan living and kitchen area where a meal can be prepared either inside or using the BBQ outside. Simple suppers or breakfast available. The space You’ll find an open plan living dining and kitchen area with comfortable sofa in front of the log burner if needed. The kitchen area has a full size electric oven and hob, toaster and kettle. Large fridge freezer if needed. The house has wifi throughout and the smart TV has Netflix and other digital channels for your own sign in. Bedlinen and towels are provided for you. Outside there is a BBQ for cooking also. There is a z-bed available also for use by a third child if required, please request when booking. The house now has electric heating, fitted Jan 26, to keep warm in the cooler months. Visits Villefagnan for daily provisions (3km) where you will also find the local swimming lake and lake side pizza restaurant (June to September). The house has the basics of tea, coffee pods and bottled water, we also provide milk for arrival. Should you need anything else for late arrival then please ask and we can look to help Should you be arriving late and would like an evening meal provided then a simple supper can be left in the fridge for you, simply to warm up, such as Lasagne, Chicken Casserole, Chicken Curry. Please message for further details and prices. Likewise a continental breakfast choice can be delivered each morning, freshly made at the local boulangerie. For the winter months we supply up to the first two booked days of wood for the fire, any requirements after this time can be purchased from ourselves or from a local brico. Please contact us should you wish to purchase from ourselves, 15 euros per day, so we can organise delivery each day.
