Our Wonders contribute to the local community through beach clean-ups, school projects, and meaningful initiatives - all part of a self-empowerment journey filled with yoga, creative writing, painting, and more. We’re a vibrant community of local and internationals from around the globe, ready to welcome you to our guesthouse and vegan restaurant in the heart of Siquijor. Accommodation: Experience the charm of our bungalows and huts, crafted from natural local materials and complemented by high-quality Western amenities. Each room includes a firm mattress, fan, mosquito net, fairy lights, and an outlet for your devices. Select rooms feature a private toilet and hot shower, while others enjoy shared, open-air showers designed with a unique bamboo-spiral structure—a special Wonderland creation(!) now popular throughout the island! We provide fresh bedding and towels to ensure a comfortable stay. Free Wi-Fi is available, and you’re welcome to refill your water bottle anytime. Our Restaurant: Our restaurant is an open, welcoming space where real connections happen—here, people truly connect with each other, not just in words! You will meet our community members and fellow travelers, dive into board games, make music with our keyboard or ukulele, or spend time with our friendly kittens. There’s plenty of space for solo relaxation too—whether reading, writing, or simply soaking up the serene vibe. Each evening, you’re invited to join our communal dinner, a special time to connect with other guests and members of our Wonder program over a delicious shared meal. We are remote work and digital nomad-friendly! While the Wi-Fi is generally strong, occasional island storms or power outages may lead to brief interruptions, so please bear this in mind if you’re working online. Our kitchen serves delicious vegan meals, with gluten-free and oil-free options. Opened daily from 7 am to 10 pm, though the space is open for guests to use anytime. Activities: Each weekday from 7 am to 8 am, and during evenings as well, our talented "Wonders" host workshops, sharing their skills in areas like yoga, dance, writing, art, photography, and more. We invite you to join any session that inspires you. In the evenings, you’re also welcome to join our communal dinner with other guests and Wonder program members, creating a warm space for new friendships and shared experiences. For those seeking deeper relaxation, our skilled massage therapist offers healing treatments in our on-site hut, which can be booked at reception. Location: Wonderland is a quick 5-minute walk from Paliton Beach, the island’s highest-rated beach. The center of San Juan is 4.5 km (2.8 miles) away, offering a local market, shops, and a variety of bars and restaurants. A convenience store is only a 2-minute walk from us. Siquijor is filled with natural beauty, featuring waterfalls, forests, rivers, and beaches, with numerous spots for snorkeling, scuba diving, and kitesurfing. We also offer diving courses to Apo Island, which is easily accessible from here. For thrill-seekers, there’s even skydiving at the local airport. Known as the “Healing Island,” Siquijor is home to traditional shamans, or “mananambal,” who offer their services in the mountains. Rent a motorbike with us to explore the island, or ask our staff for help arranging other transportation options. How to Get Here: Ferries run to Siquijor from Bohol, Cebu, and Dumaguete (the most frequent and shortest ferry ride, with an airport close to the port). From the Siquijor port, taxis, jeepneys, or tricycles can bring you to Wonderland in about 15 minutes. House Rules: Please refrain from smoking inside our bamboo and nipa huts. Respecting the hostel, restaurant, fellow guests, and local surroundings is highly appreciated, and we ask that you leave the showers and toilets as clean as you found them. Guest access Our reception is open from 6 am to 10 pm, ready to help with anything you need—motorbike rentals, ferry transportation, and other details you should not worry about. Important! Leave some flexibility in your plans—many guests find themselves extending their stay with us and falling in love with the magic of Siquijor Island (we mean it!)
