In the extreme south of Lozère and with one foot in the Gard, the property covers 37 hectares of wooded hills, streams and rocks, offering distant views of the surrounding Cévennes. The hamlet of Meyrières is worth it, at the end of a forest track, the time to leave the usual trepidations of everyday life and to be charmed by this secret place where Stevenson's words are illustrated: "When the present is so absorbing, who could torment themselves about the future?". The space The medieval schist stone house has been recently renovated and is adjoining ours within our private hamlet. The alleys and stone porches lead you either to the ground floor to enter the living room on the garden side or to the first floor to enter the bedroom, which is also accessible by the interior staircase. A mezzanine above the living room has a double canopy bed and a storage dresser. In the living room and in the bedroom, the sofa beds can accommodate 4 more people. The private outdoor areas equipped with an above-ground swimming pool of 6.10 meters in diameter, garden furniture, parasols, barbecue, sun loungers and dining tables, are very large and overlook the splendid view to the east. The gardens and pool are maintained, fenced and gates open to the rest of the property with its chestnut grove, its rocky peaks from which to admire the views of the mountains… The ruins of the castle and the archaeological remains are nearby but dolmens over 3000 years old are hidden a little further away… Guest access The entire home is available for your use with 2 private entrances and outdoor areas with a swimming pool in gardens maintained by the owners. The mezzanine above the living room has a double canopy bed and two double sofa beds are respectively in the bedroom and in the living room, so it is possible to stay 8 people in total. The bathroom with toilet is accessible from the bedroom. On the ground floor a laundry room with toilet, sink and washing machine is also available. Other things to note Possibility to book breakfasts and meal trays that we will bring to your home at the cottage or on your terrace. Made with farm products and other local products according to the seasons, they remain traditional and varied. Possibility to also book wellness massages and energy treatments with Anaïs. Our last daughter, Sylvia, is a designer and lives in the hamlet. She will gladly show you around her workshop for making furniture and wooden objects: Atelier Bloam.
