Foxglove Shepherd's Hut - accessible accommodation

For a cool glamping getaway, why not explore your sense of adventure and embrace the great outdoors. Near the golden sands of Cheswick with one king size bed and full size single bunk beds, Foxglove can accommodate up to four guests. A large raised deck with ramp access has been designed to support the needs of mobility-impaired guests, while the bunk beds cleverly convert to bench seating for day time use. [Please note, this property has a wet-room shower only, there is no bathtub]. The space GROUND FLOOR Accommodating four guests with one king size bed (5’ x 6’ 3”) and full size single bunk beds (3’ x 6’ 3”). To maximise space, the double bunk converts to seating for day time use. The hut features a galley kitchen with an electric two ring hob, a microwave combination oven, under-counter fridge, toaster, kettle, and DAB radio. There is an extendable dining table for up to four guests. Wet room with electric shower, heated towel rail, basin and WC. Bathroom aids for mobility restricted guests can be provided on request. OUTSIDE There is a picnic table and garden furniture, as well as a fire pit. Foxglove sits in a paddock with three further shepherd’s huts, Cow Parsley, Teasel and The Beach Hut, each sleeping up to four guests. Please note, there is not designated enclosed space around each individual shepherd's hut. PARKING No vehicle access is permitted in the paddock where the shepherd’s huts are located. Parking sits to the left of the farm entrance which is approximately 50 yards from the site entrance. Separate parking provision is available at Fox Glove for guests with mobility impairment. ELECTRIC VEHICLE CHARGING For safety reasons, we do not permit electric vehicle or hybrid car charging at this property. If you’re travelling by EV, discover your nearest electric vehicle charging point here. BABIES & CHILDREN Foxglove is not particularly suited to babies and young infants. The inner paddock where the shepherd’s hut is located is fully enclosed, however the adjoining field has a pond and younger children will require supervision around this area. DOGS Two dogs are welcome with a charge of £15 per dog. Dogs must be clean and dry before access into the hut and must be kept off the beds. An outside tap is available. The inner paddock where the hut is located is enclosed, but dogs should be kept on a lead around the livestock. Please note, there are three other huts in the paddock, and there is not enclosed designated space around each individual shepherd's hut. Long dog leads are available onsite to keep your pets close-by your own shepherd's hut. The owner has chickens onsite which do occasionally fly over into the paddock. It is highly recommended that dogs are supervised for this reason. GUEST AMENITIES Bed linen, towels and guest toiletries are provided. A hair dryer is supplied. WI-FI & MOBILE COVERAGE Mobile reception is generally good. Wi-Fi is available. HEATING The hut has electric tubular heating. GUEST PRIVACY & ADDITIONAL ACCOMMODATION The paddock is shared with three other shepherd’s huts, Cow Parsley, Teasel and Berrington Beach Hut, with a wide-open aspect across the adjoining field. WATER SUPPLY Water is from a private supply borehole and is suitable for drinking.
