The cottage has a bedroom, loft, private terrace with outdoor furniture and BBQ, plus EV charging. You're also welcome to enjoy our garden, trampoline, climbing frame and hammock. Astrid Lindgren's World is less than 10 minutes away by car or 20 minutes by bike. Ideal for families and couples. The space Welcome to our modern, fully equipped guesthouse just outside Vimmerby. Enjoy a peaceful setting close to nature, with Lake Borstingen and a lovely swimming area just a short walk away. At the same time, you’re within easy reach of Vimmerby, Astrid Lindgren’s World, and the town’s restaurants and attractions. The guesthouse is suitable for families, couples and friends, with room for up to six guests. It has a private terrace with outdoor furniture and a BBQ, as well as EV charging. You’re also very welcome to enjoy our garden. The guesthouse and its amenities The guesthouse is approximately 35 m², plus a sleeping loft of around 15 m². • Water-based underfloor heating and an air-source heat pump with air conditioning for a comfortable indoor temperature. • Pleated blinds on all windows for light control and privacy. • EV charger with a Type 2 connector and up to 11 kW charging power. Charging is billed separately per kWh and paid for by scanning a QR code. No app is required. Sleeping arrangements The guesthouse has four standard beds and two additional sleeping spaces. • Separate bedroom with a double bed (160 cm), wardrobes and a door that can be closed for privacy. • Sleeping loft with two single beds (90 cm each) that can be pushed together to form a double bed. • Sofa bed in the living room (140 cm wide), suitable for one or two people. Duvets and pillows are provided for all sleeping spaces. Kitchen and living room The kitchen is open-plan with the living room and has everything you need to prepare and enjoy your meals. • Induction hob, combination oven and microwave, and a fridge with a freezer compartment. • Dishwasher, Moccamaster coffee maker, toaster and egg cooker. • Cooking utensils, crockery, glasses and cutlery. • Drop-leaf dining table with four chairs. Two additional folding chairs are available. The living room has a sofa bed with seating for three to four people and a 65-inch TV with Chromecast. Bathroom and laundry The bathroom has a toilet, washbasin and vanity unit with storage. There is also a shower with both an overhead shower and a handheld shower, folding shower screens, and a combined washing machine and tumble dryer. Terrace, garden and surroundings Outside the guesthouse, you’ll find your own private terrace with outdoor furniture and a BBQ. It’s a lovely spot for breakfast, an evening meal or simply relaxing after a day out. You’re very welcome to use our entire garden. There’s a trampoline, climbing frame, swings and a hammock, with plenty of space for playing, exercising or relaxing. Lake Borstingen is approximately 300 metres from the guesthouse. It has a swimming area with a beach and jetty. The forest is right next door, with trails suitable for walking, running and cycling. Vimmerby town centre is approximately 4 km away, and Astrid Lindgren’s World is around 5 km away. There’s a cycle path all the way, and the drive to Astrid Lindgren’s World takes less than 10 minutes. What’s included in your booking • Duvets and pillows for all sleeping spaces. Please bring your own bed linen or rent it from us. • Toilet paper, kitchen roll, hand soap and a kitchen towel. • Dishwasher tablets, washing-up liquid, coffee filters, salt and pepper. • Cleaning equipment and supplies, including a vacuum cleaner, mop and cleaning cloths. Optional extras Bed linen and towels: SEK 250 per person, per stay. The package includes a fitted sheet, duvet cover, pillowcase, bath towel and hand towel. We’ll take care of the laundry after your stay. Final cleaning Final cleaning is not included in the price. You can either clean the guesthouse yourself before departure or book our final cleaning service for SEK 1,000. Please let us know well in advance if you would like to book final cleaning. We hope you enjoy your stay with us and feel at home here! Guest access You have exclusive use of the entire guesthouse and its private terrace with outdoor furniture and a BBQ. You’re also very welcome to enjoy our garden, which we share with you as our guest. There’s a trampoline, climbing frame, swings and a hammock for playing and relaxing. Other things to note We’re Emma and Rikard, your hosts, and we live in the house next door with our children, Selma (13), Otis (10) and Edith (2). We live in a peaceful rural area where you’ll find sheep, chickens and cats nearby. Our own cat, Solveig, roams freely outdoors. She’s curious and may stop by to say hello, but we kindly ask you not to let her into the guesthouse. We share the garden with our guests, and our children sometimes play there, so you may see us outside during your stay. The guesthouse and its private terrace, however, are exclusively yours to enjoy.
