Welcome to Blacksmith House—a place where connection comes easily, and time feels like it stretches a little longer. Created by the team behind Blacksmith Provedore and Blacksmith Villa, the house carries the same spirit: generous, inviting, and made for connection. Located just steps from the calm bend of the Murray River in Tocumal, this is where the pace shifts. The space Blacksmith House is a place to gather. Whether you're reconnecting with old friends, bringing the family together, or escaping the city for a weekend of country air—this space was made for you. Behind the walls of our historic home that tell stories from the 1890's, you'll find three generous bedrooms—two with queen beds dressed in soft linens, and one with twin singles. There’s a spacious lounge with a crackling fireplace at its heart and the chef’s kitchen is ready for shared feasts, with thoughtfully designed indoor and outdoor dining spaces to choose from. Or, fire up the BBQ, set up some lawn games and settle in for an afternoon in the sun. Run out of time to shop for all your favourit gourmet treats? We're a (literal) stones throw from a classic country pub & bakery, supermarket, bottle shop and pharmacy. And if you’d rather not cook but would like to stay in, Blacksmith Kitchen can take care of you with handmade, ready-to-heat meals. A Note on Pets We know that pets are part of the family, and we’re happy to welcome up to two well-behaved dogs to Blacksmith House by prior arrangement. We simply ask that furry friends stay off furniture and beds, and aren’t left unattended inside the house. Please note, our yards are not completely fenced. River Access Our favourite way to start the day is with a walk down to the river. Head out the rear gate and take a right when you Out the Door and Into the Region Step outside and stroll to the Murray. Swim, fish, kayak or simply wander its quiet banks. Cycle the local trails, hit a few rounds at the Tocumwal Golf Club, or set off further afield—The region invites you to roam. Spend the day at wineries in nearby Cobram or Rutherglen, or browse antique stores and country bakeries in historic towns like Yarrawonga and Finley. Summer brings the river to life with water sports and twilight picnics. Stay a While Blacksmith House isn’t just a place to sleep—it’s a place to arrive, to exhale, and to make memories you’ll carry home with you. Guest access Guests have access to the entire house, with front and backyard, laundry and toilet located just off the back deck.
