Treffurt has a very special charm with its beautiful castle, narrow streets and timber frame. The district of Schnellmannshausen belongs to Treffurt, "Schnelli" as the locals say here, is located at the foot of the Heldrastein, which is considered the most beautiful viewpoint in Thuringia.
