Tucked away down a tree lined driveway in Kaiapoi, this relaxed country farmhouse is the perfect place to unwind with friends or family. Just a short 15–20 minute drive from Christchurch Airport, it’s close to the city but feels like a real rural escape. The house has four comfy bedrooms—one with a super king split bed downstairs (which can be made into two singles on request), one king bed, one queen bed, and one king single. There’s plenty of space to spread out and get cosy. The farmhouse sleeps up to eight guests across four comfortable bedrooms — a super king split bed downstairs (can be configured as two singles on request), one king, one queen, and one king single upstairs. Two fold-out beds are also available for extra guests, just let us know when you book. Upstairs you’ll find three bedrooms, a full bathroom with complimentary toiletries, and lovely views out over the gardens and paddocks. Downstairs has the fourth bedroom, a second bathroom, a cosy living room, dining area, and a fully equipped kitchen. Two fireplaces keep things warm in winter, with extra heaters throughout for good measure. Outside there’s a large deck, expansive backyard, and country-style gardens with plenty of room to roam, relax, or play. This is a working farm, so from time to time friendly folks may be around to tend to the animals — it’s all part of the charm, and guests are welcome to soak it up. Travelling with horses? A paddock may be available on request — just get in touch when you book and we’ll confirm availability. Locally you’re spoiled for choice. Woodend is five minutes away, Kaiapoi township seven minutes, and The Pines Beach and Woodend Beach are both within ten. For an easy dinner out, the Platform Brew Bar on the Kaiapoi River is just 4km down the road — well worth a visit. Please note the farmhouse is attached to a separate three-bedroom home which may have other guests during your stay. There’s plenty of space and privacy for everyone. Please note, this is a working farm, so there may occasionally be staff on-site tending to livestock or the flower market garden. These areas are separate from the main guest areas, and your privacy will always be respected. The farmhouse is attached to another home that may have guests during your stay. However, both houses have their own private entrances, and outdoor areas are separate to ensure everyone has plenty of space. You’ll also have access to free off-street parking right by the house.
