The space Bellevue House is a heritage-listed Georgian sandstone home, built in 1840 and now immaculately restored to combine historic grandeur with luxurious comfort. The flexible floorplan spans two levels and includes four king size bedrooms, making it ideal for groups (up to 8 adults) seeking elegance and privacy in one of Tasmania’s most charming towns. On the ground floor, you’ll find a generous living room, a king size bedroom, and a beautifully appointed family bathroom with underfloor heating, featuring a large walk-in shower, double vanity, and European-style laundry. The heart of the home is the open-plan kitchen, also with underfloor heating, and connected dining space, which comfortably seats 12 and showcases exposed brick, original stonework, and underfloor heating. The kitchen has everything you will need European appliances, coffee machine, Zip instant water (Soda, filters and hot). Slow combustion fireplaces and central heating means the house will always be toasty and warm. Upstairs, the private master suite includes a king bed, walk-in wardrobe, and a luxurious ensuite complete with a restored claw foot bath and even reverse cycle air conditioning. Two further king bedrooms, each with built-in wardrobes, are also located upstairs. These bedrooms have the option to share the ensuite via a second door or have it locked off for privacy. All beds are king size with goose down toppers for your comfort. Throughout the home, you’ll find restored sash windows, ornate fireplaces, wide polished timber floors, and elegant Georgian detailing, all enhanced by modern touches like large smart TV, Wi-Fi and Sound system for music throughout. The beautifully converted outbuildings, once used as servants quarters and prisoner cells during the time it was the local Magistrates house , now house a fully fitted out bar and games room with a pool table, offering a unique entertainment space. Outside, guests are encouraged to wander through the gardens, discover the secret outdoor rooms, and even collect fresh eggs from the resident chickens. Please note: due to stair access, antique furnishings, and styling, the home is not suitable for young children or pets. Parties are not allowed. Guest access Guests have full and private access to the entire home, including all four bedrooms, both bathrooms, living and dining areas, kitchen, gardens, and the bar/games room in the outbuildings.
