Description
Perched on a grassy hillside overlooking rolling pastures, our architecturally designed cozy timber and tin cabin blends traditional bush materials with modern comforts – enjoy AC, indoor and outdoor fire places, outdoor bath, chef quality cooking equipment and organic textiles. Unwind around the crackling firepit or bask in the serenity of panoramic views from your private deck. Over 1km of Mary River frontage offers opportunity for adventure, with swimming holes, fishing & kayaking available. The space 'The Hide' enjoys panoramic views of our 144 acre working cattle property - Mary River Station. Here, we blend sustainable farming with immersive guest experiences. Intimately connected to the Mary River, our luxury cozy eco cabin fosters a connection between our guests and the land, promoting awareness of responsible agriculture and its holistic benefits. A private 1km bushwalking track leads you to the banks of the Mary River, where guests can enjoy watering holes, kayaking, fishing and a river fire pit (in addition to the one up at the cabin). Alternatively guests can access the river via 4WD. Located 50km west of Noosa Heads and less than two hours from Brisbane, Mary River Station is surrounded by pastoral beauty and abundant adventure. Explore local towns like Kenilworth, Pomona, Imbil, and Kandanga, each offering charming cafes, pubs and markets. Guest access The cabin, surrounding lawn and outdoor fire pit areas are exclusively yours to enjoy. Once you enter the property, you will pass the onsite farm manager's cottage and if you look to the left you will see the cabin perched high up on the hill, accessed via a private driveway. This driveway is gravel and very steep - 4WD is recommended but not essential. Small cars may have trouble in wet weather, however our onsite farm managers are always on hand for backup. Other things to note The kitchen is equipped with electric cooktop, fridge and a full array of chef quality cooking utensils. There is no oven or microwave. The cabin is stocked with essentials like salt, pepper, olive oil, tea and sugar as well as eco friendly bathroom and cleaning products. Brew your morning coffee with beans, grinder and stovetop percolator provided. Luxury, organic bed linen and towels are also provided. We provide 4 luxury camp chairs to set up either on the deck or around the outdoor fire pit. Firewood is provided for the indoor fireplace (located in the main bedroom) and outdoor fire pit. Cook over the camp fire with our swing plate bbq! We have a trough-style outdoor bath connected to hot water - enjoy a hot soak under the stars! We ask guests to refrain from using soaps or bath products in the outdoor bath. We encourage our guests to switch off and fully immerse in the tranquility of their surrounds, however wifi is available. With the beauty of the countryside, comes a few other considerations like cows mooing, birds calling and insects crawling. We highly recommend closing the cabin fly screens as the sun sets. As a working cattle property, we ask that guests respect the wellbeing of the livestock. We welcome you to wander down the grassy lane at the bottom of the cabin driveway and watch the cows (and donkeys!) as they graze, however please do not enter paddocks or approach the livestock. The bathroom is connected to the main cabin area via a covered breezeway off the deck. There is a shower and a seperate toilet, basin and mirror. Please note, use of the river is subject to conditions and may not always be safe.
