Arctic Cottage Green Room with breakfast, downtown

Our home was built in 1933 and our guest area, on our ground floor, is sympathetic to this period. The guest room has a kettle with hot drink facilities. The Green Room has two single beds (with the option to add a travel cot). The bathroom has a shower and is shared between our two guest rooms (Blue and Green rooms). A continental breakfast is provided, and we can cater for special diets. We are LGBTQ+ friendly, and are happy to take in weary campers in need of a warm and comfortable bed! The space Guests can use a small reception area with love seat and a breakfast table. There is a kitchenette with a fridge/freezer, microwave, toaster, electric and induction hobs, independent halogen oven, sandwich grill and kitchenware. Guests are encouraged to leave used dishes for us to wash in our dishwasher. We have now installed a waching machine which our guests are free to use during their stay. An eco-egg (detergent) is also supplied for environmentally-friendly washing! Guest access Guests have access to the ground floor where their room is located. This area includes the reception area, kitchenette and bathroom, which is shared between the two guest rooms. Guests can also access the garden at the rear of the property. During your stay We are very happy to offer advice on sightseeing and travel in advance (via Airbnb messenger), or during your stay, as we still enjoy sightseeing even though we now live here. Collection from Akureyri airport, or similar local lifts, are possible for a small fee and depending on our availability. Other things to note There is ample free parking on the street parking outside our front door, and also in parking area by the sports field, at the end of our short road. Please note we have recently taken in a rescue cat called Nótt. She is not allowed in the prepared guest bedrooms, but she may appear in the reception area to say hello!
