Originally designed for my mom’s future independence, it’s now the perfect guest retreat—quiet, cozy, and full of charm. You’ll have your own entrance, off-street parking, and a sunny porch to enjoy your morning coffee. The apartment is filled with natural light, thoughtful touches, and mountain views, all nestled in a quiet neighborhood The space Located on the ground floor with a private entrance, this bright and stylish space includes: Sleeping Arrangements: • Queen bed in the main bedroom • Daybed with pop-up trundle in the activity room (two twins or one California king) • Pull-out sofa in the living room, available for lounging or flexible sleeping within the 4-guest maximum All beds include new mattresses and fresh linens. Kitchenette Includes: Microwave, air fryer, hot plate, Keurig, drip coffee maker, toaster, kettle, and essentials for light cooking. Enjoy the screened-in porch, backyard seating, and easy access to town, hiking trails, Storm King, and more — just 10–15 minutes away. Guest access You’ll have full, private access to the apartment and backyard. While we live upstairs, we respect your space completely. You may see us (or Otis the dog) outside, but the yard is yours to enjoy. Keyless Entry | Screened Porch | Quiet Neighborhood Things to Note -No pets, to keep the space allergy-friendly -No smoking or incense indoors (designated outdoor area available) -Not childproof, best for adults or older teens -Quiet hours: 10 p.m. to 8 a.m. Whenever possible, we’re happy to accommodate early check-ins or bag drop-offs — just ask! A welcome book with local favorites is waiting for you. We’re so glad to share our space and hope it feels like a warm and restful home away from home. Other things to note Things to Note The apartment is located on the lower level of our home, so you will occasionally hear light footsteps from upstairs. We do our best to keep noise to a minimum and appreciate your understanding. This apartment is allergy-friendly and pet-free. Pets, Service Animals, and Local Boarding For allergy, health, and cleaning reasons, we have a strict no pets policy in the apartment. This includes dogs, cats, and emotional support animals. We are not able to make exceptions for pets. Service Animals While we maintain a strict no pets policy to keep the space allergy friendly, we do accept ADA defined service animals in accordance with Airbnb’s policy. If you plan to travel with a service animal, please let us know before booking so we can prepare the space. In line with ADA guidelines, guests may be asked two brief questions to confirm the animal’s role: 1) Is the animal required because of a disability? 2) What work or task has the animal been trained to perform? Important Service Animal Rules Service animals must remain under their handler’s control at all times and may not be left unattended in the apartment or on the property. For the comfort of all guests, excessive or continuous barking is not permitted. As with all stays, any significant damage or extraordinary cleaning related to the animal’s presence may result in an additional cleaning charge after checkout, consistent with Airbnb policy. Emotional support animals (ESAs) are not considered service animals under the ADA and are not permitted. Local Boarding Option If you are traveling with a pet, I highly recommend Puppy Paws, a wonderful local pet care provider about seven minutes from the house. She has many years of experience and offers a caring, reliable place for pets to stay while you enjoy your time here. Fridge Stocking and Catering If you would like to arrive to a stocked fridge or plan a special meal, I highly recommend The Chocolate Mousse. They offer a service just for local Airbnbs and, with at least 72 hours notice, can fill your fridge so you can start relaxing as soon as you arrive. They are one of my favorite local caterers and are excellent with food allergies, gluten free, vegan options, and special requests.
