Oakridge Base Camp offers you the comfort and convenience of a home away from home. Due to the location on the edge of the forested Cascade foothills, guests enjoy stunning natural beauty from the property. If you are lucky, you might even spot the local herd of elk wandering through the back yard! The home is located in Elk Meadows, a quiet neighborhood just minutes from downtown Oakridge. Visitors are close to the active outdoor adventure scene, yet far enough away to soak in the serene, rural charm of central Oregon. Guests have private access to the entire 1632 sq. ft home, garage and backyard areas. We are actively working on the site landscaping to make this space as beautiful as the surrounding area. Guest access Guests will have access to the entire property via keyless entry. HOME ACCESSIBILITY - Single-story home, 2 steps to enter. - Locked cabinet in the garage, master bath and walk-in closet with owner and housekeeper supplies. Other things to note - Must be at least 25 years old to book with a positive rental history. - 7 person occupancy maximum in the home. No additional guests are allowed. - High-clearance vehicles are *required* to access the garage and our very steep driveway. Low-clearance vehicles may be damaged while attempting to park in the driveway. Parking in the driveway or garage is at your own risk. - Street parking is ample and recommended for low-clearance vehicles. - Your safety matters. The property features 2 exterior security cameras (at the front door and above the garage). The cameras are outward facing and do not look into interior spaces. The cameras record video when activated by motion. -Although train noise is common in Oakridge, the property is in a prime location far removed from this. - Cell service can be spotty, depending on your carrier. - Please be aware we do not provide refunds for occasional power or internet outages- as they are common in Oakridge. We have provided candles, flashlights and have a gas fireplace for your convenience. - If you accidentally leave important articles behind in our home, we are happy to send them back to you with advance payment of shipping costs. -Wildfires: Wildfire season in Oregon occurs between summer are early fall. Please note that guests are responsible for researching conditions before booking, as refunds are only provided in the event that an evacuation order is given for our neighborhood. - Insects: This rural home is surrounded by meadows and forested land. Our area is a natural habitat for a variety of wildlife and insects. While we conduct regular pest control and inspections to ensure your comfort, we cannot guarantee that you won't encounter the occasional little creature (insects and the like) indoors. It helps to keep the doors and window screens closed. If this possibility makes you squeamish (we get it!), our home may not be the ideal choice for your stay. Cheers. :)
