Depending on the whims of the weather, you will sleep in a wild setting in complete privacy, either under the stars, in the moonlight, in the rain and lightning of the storm or under a sky heavy with clouds carried by the wind... Located away from the valley, on wooden terraces along the Wartoise river labeled "wild river" and in the protected area "Natura 2000". "A cocoon and charming place, sheltered from the weather, while being immersed in nature!" The space There is no running water in the bubble (no shower). We provide jerry cans of drinking water. The bubble is equipped with dishes, glasses for 2 people. There's tea and coffee in the Bubble. The dry toilet is on the terrace. Provide boots in case of rain or wet weather because the bubble is 300 m walk from the parking lot. Other things to note You can arrive early to enjoy the site and/or go for a walk in the very large nearby forest. We have maps and we can advise you. 😉 On site, at our place at the Cendron ponds, you can also: - Fish for trout for €22/day/fisherman (for 2 lines) with access to the 3 ponds (fishing regulations on site). Please note that you must come with your equipment. - Rent electric bikes with a range of 100 km for €25 per half-day or €35 per day (booking required) - Rent an electric scooter (2 people) without a license with a range of 100 km for €35 for half a day or €50 for a day (by reservation) - Rent electric scooters with a range of 60/70 km for €20 per half day or €35 per day (booking required) - Beautiful walks, either in the Chimay or Momignies area: it is possible to download the maps on their respective websites. Otherwise, from our home, the large state forest of St Michel offers very nice possibilities and we have the maps at home that you can use. We will be happy to advise you. Here is the list of additional services we can offer (please let us know at least 24 hours before your arrival): - Lunches possible at €15/person (homemade product, from our fish farm and farmers and artisans from the surrounding villages) - An aperitif-charcuterie tray for €15 (for 2 people), - Beers: Chimay, Duvel, Karmeliet, Kriek, Jupiler, etc. - A bottle of champagne for €35, - A bottle of cava for €25, - Bottles of wine (white or red) at €20 per bottle - access to the private Jacuzzi for €35/night The main activity of our family is fish farming (breeding/nursery of trout and salmon), so we offer, to take with you: -> Fresh cleaned trout/salmon -> Fresh fillets: salmon trout and/or salmon -> Artisanal smoked trout fillets -> Escaveche with trout: typical dish of the region (specialty of Chimay protected IGP). This is a cold dish prepared with trout (directly from our fish farm) with onions, vinegar, lemons and herbs. For dinner, we are "just" a fish farm, so we don't have a restaurant on site. However, we can provide for you: -> A "charcuterie tray": picnic dinner for 2 people with a few slices of homemade bread, farm butter and homemade jam for €25 -> An escabèche meal: The dish is accompanied by a few slices of homemade bread with farm butter from the village. €25 for 2 people -> A "cheese platter" from the region. €30 for 2 people -> The "Chimacienne discoveries" tray, composed of cheeses from the region, charcuterie from the local butcher, other products from local artisans depending on the seasons, and products from our fish farm: escavèche and smoked trout. This "dinner" is accompanied by a few slices of homemade bread, farm butter and homemade jam. This one is €40 for 2 people. Feel free to visit our small "shop" and showcase in the hallway of our house and leave with our products and/or to support the products of farmers and artisans from the surrounding villages: farm butter, village cheeses, choco from the Stevens chocolate factory, milk, eggs, snails, honey, Chimay delicatessen, etc. To make the most of your evening on site, we also suggest ordering a hot/cold meal. We work with 1 local caterer, who will bring your dinner to your "door". You can contact Mr. Demeyer on 0477/50.91.05. For restaurants we suggest: - the Ferme des 4 Saisons 10 km away, near the Abbey of Scourmont. Impeccable value for money, almost a gourmet. - the Auberge de Poteaupré (brewery based on Chimay products) 10 km away. - l'Ère d'Etang in Forges (10 km), family, very beautiful setting near a lake. - "Contrefaçon" in Virelles, bistronomy with a very good wine list. - La Hulotte, French side (5 km). Typical French cuisine and warm setting. - Poul&boule in Chimay, family brewery, warm welcome and very friendly staff.
