Bienvenue! Welcome to Chalet Muse, a Local Asheville Artist's Mountain retreat located in the cute town of Fairview, NC which is only 20 minutes from Downtown Asheville! The chalet's walls are lined with paintings and photography created by the owner. Located 3,000 ft above sea level, take in the stunning Blue Ridge Mountain Views, secluded on 11 private acres! **A flight of stairs is required to enter the home. Please keep that in mind when considering members of your party. This home is located in the mountains with amazing views in Fairview, NC which from the driveway is a 20 minute drive to downtown Asheville and 30 minutes from the Airport. Please note: *No pets allowed as we have installed new carpet and rugs due to pet accidents in the past. The property is also in the woods on a mountain which makes it very difficult to find an animal if they for some reason run off. This is for your pet’s protection, so we hope you understand this difficult decision as we are animal lovers as well. This three-bedroom, two-bath chalet-style home boasts an open floor plan kitchen, dining, and living area that is ideal for entertaining! A fully stocked kitchen awaits for cooking gourmet meals so you can take in the gorgeous sunsets you're sure to experience! The kitchen offers a french press, drip coffee pot, or Keurig for your coffee needs, along with complimentary K-cups, ground coffee, and all the 'fixins. On the deck, there are two areas for entertaining and enough seats for 6 guests, and two lounge chairs for relaxing. There is a propane fire pit on the deck to enjoy during the evening as you watch the sunset over the beautiful Mountain Views, an umbrella to keep you cool from the hot sun during the day, and a propane gas grill and utensils for grilling. Rise to breathtaking views and enjoy beautiful sunrises in the upstairs master suite loft as you wake up refreshed from a great night's sleep on a king-sized memory foam mattress and down alternative comforter with duvet. A large walk-in closet with two spa robes and two comfortable chairs awaits you to watch the sunrise while drinking morning coffee. The master bedroom has an en-suite bathroom boasting a walk-in shower with glass doors and a sunroof. **A circular staircase is required to access the master suite, so please keep that in mind for members of your party.** There are two additional bedrooms available on the main floor of the home. One guest room includes a king-sized bed with a memory foam mattress and a down alternative comforter with duvet. In the second guest room, there are two twin beds long enough for adults. The room also has a flat-screen TV, Roku Streaming Device, complimentary Netflix, Peacock, books, games, and DVDs to help keep your kids entertained. Both of these bedrooms share a bathroom on the main level. The den offers a 60" flat-screen TV, Roku Streaming Device, complimentary Netflix, Peacock, BlueRay player, and a Surround Soundbar which is available to pair the TV or your phone's Bluetooth to stream music or to enjoy the big game! For "adult kids", there are adult indoor and outdoor games including corn hole, Giant Jenga, Frisby Golf, Apples to Apples, and other board games for your entertainment if it is raining. On the lawn, Adirondack chairs surround an outdoor fire pit so you can enjoy an evening around the fire. We do not provide firewood for the outdoor fire pit , but most all local stores carry fire wood for your needs. Since the home is on a mountain, the Wifi is on Satellite service. If there is poor weather or if it is very foggy, you may experience slower service at times. Oh, the joys of Mountain Living! However, the internet is typically very fast. A Washer, Dryer, and iron are available in the laundry room with complimentary laundry detergent. The home is located in the woods on a mountain, which backs up to a cliff. Guests have access to the entire home and 5 private acres, with exception of the basement, garages, and owner's closet. There is a large parking area in front of the garage that can hold up to 4 vehicles if needed. Owner lives on-premise in the adjacent home next to Chalet Muse. Keyless entry allows our guests a seamless check-in and check-out process. We are available by email or phone call in case of emergencies. Guests will have access to the entire home excluding basement and owner's closet. You can easily get into Asheville or to any of the local restaurants, shops, hiking trails, or breweries very quickly. Head up a paved road and driveway all the way to your doorstep, which is .3 miles away from Historic Laurel Falls waterfall. The home is nestled on 11 acres on a shared property where the owner lives in the house next door. Conveniently located 20 minutes to downtown Asheville, @30 minutes to Asheville Airport, 15 minutes to the Blue Ridge Parkway and @ 25 minutes to Black Mountain, Chimney Rock and Lake Lure. There are many favorite local restaurants within a 10-minute drive. Information regarding nearby activities, our favorite local dining spots and attractions will be provided in the guestbook. Additional recommendations will be available upon check-in and/or feel free to ask if you have any specific interests. Uber and Lyft are available for trips both to and from the home. Take a stroll amongst the apple, pear and peach orchard, herb garden, and blue and blackberry bushes. Be inspired outdoors in the natural surroundings, take in the magnificent cliffs where rocks and boulders abound. A rock retaining wall holds up the patio, so please keep careful watch of any children as they play on the patio or in the yard. Since we are located in the Mountains, there may be occasional sightings of wildlife including, black bears (very active Spring through Fall), deer, turkey, coyotes, fox, turtles and snakes. Please note that the driveway is a paved, one-car driveway which has one steeper incline at the top. **4WD is optimal during the winter months and especially during snowy weather.** We do our best to keep the driveway as clear as possible during the winter months, but having 4WD is optimal to help prevent any sliding.
