Big Idyllic family lake house with private dock

Escape to this charming and authentic lake house, nestled in the woods with a private dock and stunning sunsets. With 10 rooms, it’s ideal for several families or a group of friends. Just 2.5 hours from Copenhagen, the house offers peace and privacy surrounded by forest and facing a beautiful lake. Swim from the dock, explore hidden islands by boat or canoe, or relax in the private yoga shala. A perfect retreat for nature, connection, and calm. The space Strömsborg is a historic house. In the early 1900 it was a spa for the Swedish upperclass, later a rehab and now it is our family nature get away. The house is secluded in the forrest and there are no neighbors nearby but you can still walk to town. By a 10-15 min beatiful stroll through the forest and pathway bridges you can reach the town Ryd where you can do grocery shopping, enjoy an ice cream or get a pizza. You can fish or take a dip directly from the dock and or our boat. Enjoy a beautiful sunset over the lake from the big terrace or cuddle in in the fireplace lounge. The sunsets over the lake are truly magical! Enjoy a barbecue in the garden or cook your own pizza in the wood fired stone oven. The surrounding forest and secluded island are beautiful to explore by the two canoes or our boat that are available for free for our guest. You can also do adventurous mountain bike tours in the forest. On the ground level you find 2 connecting kitchens, the fireplace lounge, dining room and living room ensuite, 2 toilets/showers as well as 2 bedrooms. On the first floor you find 7 bedrooms, 3 toilets and showers. Almost all bedrooms have great lake views. The kitchens in the main house are recently renovated and fully equipped. You can easily cook and serve +20 people. Guest access Guest have access to the entire main house, sauna and our boat and 2 canoes. The small house next to the main house (which can be seen on some of the images) is a small guesthouse & our Yoga Shala Other things to note The house Strömsborg is a special landmark in Ryd. It is our own countryside holiday home and the interior design reflect this with a cosy and personal atmosphere. This is not a typical rental house (with lack of atmosphere) but a private house with character.
