Welcome to a cozy little house from the early 1900s, with a lovely large and completely private garden. Do you want to spend lazy vacation days in the garden, stroll around in just your underwear, and let your children run around in nature without disturbing any neighbors? Then this home is perfect for you. If you manage to get sunny summer days here, you have found a real vacation oasis! When the desire to explore kicks in, you also have an excellent starting point for plenty of day trips. The space You have house and outdoor environment all for yourselves. In front of the accommodation are horse pastures, stables and some neighbors at a distance. You can bring your own bedding and towels, or you can rent them from us for SEK 100/set. Feel free to let us know at booking. ACTIVITIES ______________________________________ The forests around the house offer nice nature experiences all year round. Here you can walk, birdwatch, build shelters and, depending on the season, also pick berries and mushrooms. Blueberries (Jul-Aug), Lingonberries (Aug-Oct), Mushrooms (Aug-Oct). Only a couple of kilometers from the accommodation, you will find Hesjön, a fantastic little natural lake completely surrounded by forest. Here you will find a child-friendly sandy beach, docks, a jumping tower, swings, a barbecue area and a hiking trail around the lake. A few kilometers in the other direction is Axelssons in Aby, a popular farm café with a cozy shop and delicious potato waffles. Astrid Lindgren's world and nice Vimmerby city is only a half hour drive away, and other Astrid Lindgren-related excursions such as Emil in Lönneberga's farm, Bullerbyn and Filmbyn Småland can be found here in the area. The Stora Hammarsjö area is a cluster of natural lakes and ponds with beautiful surroundings. It offers excellent fishing and hiking experiences. The area is located just a couple of miles from your accommodation. If you want to meet animals, you can visit Målilla's own moose park, here you can feed moose and meet goats. Also Virum's moose park is available to visit a couple of miles away. Here you ride a safari wagon into the park and get nice close contact with the animals. Just under an hour from here is Norra Kvills National Park, a magical forest with beautiful hiking. In addition, there are opportunities to take day trips to visit beautiful coastal towns such as Västervik or Kalmar. If you're ambitious, you can even manage a day trip over to beautiful Öland. A Coop shop with generous opening hours is available in the resort and can be reached both on foot and by car from the house. If there is snow in the winter, you can go sledding on the slopes at the high elevation behind the house. There are sleds to borrow: two larger sledges that can accommodate two people (for example, adult and child) as well as two children's powders. Guest access The house has 4 rooms and a kitchen. There are a total of 4 adult beds, one junior bed and one portable travel bed for infants, as well as a sofa on the lower floor that can be converted into a double bed. For the best experience, we recommend that 4-5 people stay in the house, possibly 6 people if you have some smaller children. First floor accommodates: - Small entrance with washing machine. - Kitchen, small but functional with good equipment. Refrigerator with freezer compartment. No dishwasher, no microwave. - Living room, large and bright with room for many. Dining table that accommodates 6-8 people. High chair, sofa bed. No TV. - Rear hall with exit to small veranda, patio and lovely views. Nice place for morning coffee. Second story sleeps: - Small bathroom with shower, simply equipped. - Bedroom 1. Larger bedroom with double bed and junior bed, as well as a portable travel bed for baby. Wardrobe. Roller blind. This room has extra low ceilings, 2m. Note: No door, only drapery. In the hallway outside, there are stairs that do not have a child gate. - Bedroom 2. Small bedroom with single bed and wardrobe. No roller blind. - Bedroom 3. Small bedroom with single bed and wardrobe. No roller blind. - Stairs, quite narrow and steep and lack child gates.
