Are you looking for the perfect romantic getaway? The old dairy is a stunning, converted early 17th century barn with beautiful old wooden beams and period charm. It is a comfortable, completely self-contained barn with an outside exterior of brick and flint. Our barn is perfect for snuggling together on a cosy evening. For the sporty one’s the area is perfect for cycling , walking or enjoying many of the local outdoor activities . The space offers over 700 sq feet. It can sleep up to 4 people on request, but is a perfect hideaway break for romantic couples. It is secluded with parking for one car on the drive. The old dairy is oozing with character and charm. Keys will be left in a safe key lock by the side of the door. On the ground floor it offers an open plan living room and kitchen with a dining area. .The shower room / toilet is also located on ground floor. The bathroom has a shower with large bath sheets and lovely hand soap and shower gel, shampoo and conditioner. The relaxing lounge area has a beautiful log burner, perfect for snuggling up together on a cosy nights in the winter . We will provide you with enough logs to start a cosy fire in the cold winter months for the first night . More logs can be arranged at cost The lounge has 2 big black leather sofas, a coffee table and tv complete with Netflix and Amazon fire stick . It also has a leather sofa bed which can sleep 2 more people comfortably but only on request for an extra fee. The kitchen is super equipped and offers a range of teas and has an Nespresso machine which takes pods, it has an fridge with an icebox, an oven with hob, a microwave, toaster and kettle. For stays of a week or longer, we can also offer washer/dryer located in the kitchen which can be available on request . Basically your home from home. Upstairs on the mezzanine floor, we have the bedroom which has an elegant, double bed with a sumptuous feather and down topper, beautiful cotton bed linen . There is plenty of storage with hangers and a dressing table. We have a small but charming garden available for our guests to use with seating area for you to enjoy on a warm spring/summer days. The barn sits in the charming pretty village of Ashmansworth, it is the highest village in Hampshire and it is surrounded by beautiful countryside, providing you with plenty of walks or cycling to enjoy. We don’t have any light pollution in the village and on a clear night, the sky is mesmerising with shining bright stars. The Bird life and surroundings nature is incredible too. A big highlight is our superb local pub. The Jack Russell Inn, which is only 1 1/2 miles away. Highclere Castle, Newbury race course and the Bombay Sapphire Distillery are all nearby, as well as the quaint market towns of Stockbridge and Hungerford and the ancient city of Winchester. Salisbury. Stonehenge is close by too. Newbury is also great for a spot of retail shopping and eating out. Newbury train station has an directly train straight into London within 1 hour.
